I'm surprised nobody's posted "Star Wars? Haven't seen it yet. Is it any good?"

You don't need to be. It's been everywhere since TPM came out. Not crack.... but.

With this announcement, most of my Blu-Ray collection will be collecting dust the moment it hits the doorstep.

I'm being looking to downsize for at least the last six months and this release gives me a reason to do so.

I mean, between the Godfather Trilogy, the Back to the Future Trilogy, the Ultimate Matrix Collection, the Bourne Trilogy, a few Nolan films, a few Fincher films and a few Aronofsky films, what the hell else do you need once you add Star Wars to the collection?

Only a penny; but that penny gets you three discs of special features; which I hope hope hope includes an HD "Han Shoots First" version of Episode IV.

Pre-ordered all three sets - ya never know what kind of pricing situations arise. Not a bad preorder price - $15/film? Have seen IV-VI countless times - I-III only once each...

One of my subscribers on Youtube has not seen any of the Star Wars film's , which surprised alot of people obviously.

Definately will be getting The Complete Saga and am wondering what the AUS pricing will be. Probably around $150-$160, but no doubt there will be sales on launch week.

I've heard the actual release date is around the 18th of September. 1 week after my birthday.

Alittle off topic, but can someone tell me what time on the DVD release of Phantom Menace did the E.T characters appear on screen?

Also, I really don't get all the hate and dislike for I-III, they are great film's and help tie up to the story and characters, plus they are going to look awesome on blu ray, esp Revenge of the Sith (which is probably my fav of the saga)

WorkShed,

Forgot about Indy. And, I already have the Alien films.

Honestly after Indy and Star Wars, all I'm missing is the Ten Commandments and Nolan's final Batman picture.

That'll be final for me...

It would be kinda weird if it was released on September 11th. Given the Rebels are the heroes.

Edit: Nevermind. Someone mentioned they thought 9/11 was a Tuesday. But it's not.

At least the 2004 Jabba has the correct number of fingers and his tattoo. Something goofed up on the 1997 SE.
This is a big improvement, but the perspective still looks all wrong (reflecting the fact that this was obviously filmed with a human stand-in for Jabba).
