Agreed. In about 6 months, he should come out with the 1980 A new hope theatrical cut and sell it by itself for $99. Then 6 months after that he should come out with a special limited edition 1977 cut "Star Wars" (with no subtitle and episode marker) for $199. Then 6 months after that he should do a THX UOT for $99. THAT would be milking some fools.

Haha, that was also pointed out in the Family Guy star wars ESB spoof. Kinda weird & funny.

About the topic of Leia remembering her real mother in Jedi....

Quote:
In an interview in the November 2005 edition of the UK magazine Total Film magazine, McCallum was asked "How can Leia claim to remember her mother when Padmé dies in childbirth in Sith?", to which he replied "I think that could only be answered in the television series". In a 2006 interview, when asked about the show, McCallum replied, "Think about bounty hunter, that’s all I can tell you."

Kinda wish they included the original Sy Snootles and the Max Rebo Band scene in Jabbas Palace, the Ewok song and celebration at the end of ROTJ, and eliminated the Jabba scene in ANH.

Anybody else have any thoughts?

Don't know if this has already been posted but a couple of things I noticed while watching ANH last night.

In the scene where Luke first talks to Aunt Beru, I seem to remember her saying "Luke, tell uncle..." On the blu ray she says "Luke, tell YOUR uncle." Is the new?

Also, when the sand people attack Luke, I noticed on the blu ray when the one tries to strike Luke with their staff I can hear a very distinct "clank" when the metal tip hits the rocks. In older versions I do not recall that sound effect.

Also, I'm still amazed that they've never bothered to fix the sync problem in the scene where Vader gestures with his hand and then says "I told you she would never consiously betray the rebellion."

Yeah, the SE ending song is way better than the yub-yub one. The Sy Snoodles muppet sucked bad and needed to be replaced with CGI. Snoodles and the guy with the tonsils need another couple passes like 2004 Jabba, though, with some more modern CGI.

I like Jedi Rocks more than Lepti Nek, too and like Jabba in ANH, too.

My main beef was Greedo shooting at all, but I can live with it the way it is with the BD release if they never change it again.

I honestly never liked either version of the Sy Snootles scene. But at least the older version was less cheesy.

I actually like the new celebration song at the end of Jedi. It's more epic imo.

Seen the Prequels. Watched ANH last night and in regards to the PQ something was off as far as the grain structure goes. It didn't appear natural. Almost like it has some sort of artificial sharpening going on. Did notice EE in several scenes. It is the best it's ever looked on home video but I'd say 4.0 on PQ. Sound was excellent.

No offense, but shouldn't flaws like that be answered in the movie? That's one thing that bugs me about Star Wars. Every mistake in the movies is explained in some expanded universe thing. Lightsaber inconsistencies? No, that's due to the crystals fluctuating or whatever? Empire officials wearing their badges on the wrong side? They were probably celebrating Opposite Day, or something else ridiculous.

I like both the originals more because I grew up with them but I do agree that the SE Jedi ending is better than the "yub-yub" ewok one. Needed to be a little more epic since the fall of the Empire was a pretty big deal.

My biggest beef is the Boba Fett "putting on the charm with the ladies" scene in Jabbas Palace.

[QUOTE=Hatter;5230910]Lucas forgot he greenlighted the original Clone Wars cartoon (which is superior to the new one) which is why he wants it erased from people's memory as well (dvd permanently oop). This is badass Windu owning everyone and jumping great distances with ease.

That was DOPE! I have never seen the cartoon before wow!

McCallum's a "producer," someone who talks from the side of their mouth. He was only giving those answers to try and stoke anticipation for future projects, when he truth he knows nothing of the movies beneath their surface and money-making abilities.

The TV show that they've been promising for 6 years, that has 50 scripts written (lol, yeah right...), but that they can't seem to even get started?

Yeah, I'll hold my breath for that.

It would seem the obvious truth is that the movies have [GASP! Say it ain't so!] continuity errors in them!

Leia's memories of her mother, her "real mother," as Luke asks, can be easily explained, or at least interpreted, I think, for one by her reaction to Luke's question she knew she was adopted, and secondly if she had inherited any Force abilities. If Luke's "sister has it," then it would be understandable that she'd have these "images mostly... feelings." I don't think it's something that'd need explaining in any kind of expanded universe or outside justification. I have only ever paid attention to Star Wars "canon." Elaborations and expanded universe stories are all fine, and I appreciate their existence, but I do believe that all notions within the canonical Star Wars universe can be explained from within the 6 films. We just shouldn't take everything said completely literally. What we are told is true, "from a certain point of view."

But yeah, continuity errors and mistakes do happen. There simply cannot be any reasonable explanation for the Imperials' insignias/badges/whatever to switch sides like that!

Yeah I agree.

But like I said yesterday, even though it is 99.9% an error on Lucas account,

I like to think that she is remembering Breha Organa who she belived to be her real mother up until Luke reveals the truth a few lines later. And that Breha is the one who died when she was very young.

After all, if it was known she wasn't offspring of Queen Breha Organa I don't think she would have been aloud to be a Princess.

I just like play along with the story and do a little imaginating. Sometimes it's better than picking apart the errors

(although I enjoy that too!)
