Wait wasn't that how Episode 2 &3 were shot? Two guys on an empty blue screen stage? Sorry that was too easy. Just picking.

What is it with the name Rick in major sci-fi film franchises gone bad? Rick Berman almost singlehandedly guided the Trek franchise into oblivion.

Agreed.

Does not change the fact that RM is a PR yes man. Lucas basically fires who he does not agree with. You can't have that in a creative collaborating environment. A degree of friction and tension is often what makes good art, and well...we've all seen what GL can produce when he surrounds himself with people who agree unconditionally with his creative vision.

Yes, we have. Movies that are not limited like the OT. Anything is possible in the SW universe now. There are no limits to what can be done especially when he has those who's goal is to do their absolute best to bring his vision to the screen surrounding him. I can't help but think what the OT could have been if it were made today. Still, I'm pleased they are atleast trying with the SE's. Maybe RM is a PR yes man. Can't blame him for being genuinely excited in something he believes in.

We'd have six films of crap, rather than the three he just gave us.

No, we'd have a much liked Prequel Trilogy with fewer complaints instead of people holding them to impossible expectations.

Garbage is garbage, dude. You can't disguise it. The prequels would have ended at Menace if that's where it had all started.

Like expecting what we're told in the OT is what occurs in the PT (numerous examples given throughout thread)?

Like expecting a Star Wars movie would be exciting (or at least as exciting as the OT)?

Not sure if Lucas's intentions with changes to Star Wars is to remake the OT... But who knows. It might be his Master Plan.

People didn't hate the prequels because they weren't perfect or because there were a few things wrong with them or because they couldn't possibly live up to some set of expectations we'd previously set for them. People hated the prequels because they weren't good, plain and simple.

Heh, I dunno. Seems like the only turd consistenly getting polished is the OT. Go figure.

Y'know, I would post a picture of Yoda sighing in disbelief but somebody already did that a few pages back.

No, that was a pic of Yoda falling asleep during filming.

You love getting a rise out of the OT fans.

If that's how you truly feel, how can you spend so much money on the OT characters in your awesome HT!?

You know it! It is the funniest thing how butthurt the UOT Worshiping Extremists get when the slightest negative comment is made about their beloved films. Even more so, how much they complain about both the PT and OTSE, yet they don't have the balls to boycott any SW BD release that isn't the UOT. They will still be there, day 1, buying what GL gives them and on here late that day complaining about it.

As for your second question, they are in the SE too, right?

Of course I'm screwing with you! Yoda is not a real person. It was Oz who really fell asleep, or at least his hand did.

Edit: Oh, and thanks, James, for the compliment. My collection is small when compared to most who collect these things, but I've always made it a point to have everything displayed well. I'm glad you like it.
