Wait, let me get this straight, the tab is at the one o'clock position, and NOT at the three o'clock position?
Why would they do this!!!
I'm not sure if I should buy this now.

Apparently, yes. I say apparently because there was a source that said the individual trilogies will have their respective extra disc.

What if you want to watch one of them at 6:30? Will it still come out?

1300 hours, so you have to plug yourself in before removing the disc....

The Australian artwork comfirms that the individual trilogies only have 3 discs each.

I certainly encourage you to hold out hope because like I've posted many times the color issues cant truly be discerned until someone has the actual discs. Any secondhand bootleg videos just aren't going to do the discs justice. However, adywan found that glitch in the tie fighters shot consistent with that of the 2004 release.

They've most likely used the same source as the 2004 dvds. It's possible that they could have correct the color issues. But there's no rational reason to believe said issues will be fixed on the blu-ray at this point, given adywan's findings and the pink lightsaber on the official site.
I agree let's not jump the gun here.
I think the scenes that were shown are not indicative to what we will see in september.
Lucasfilm is keeping hush hush regarding the possibility of new transfers and, i doubt we will get a shoddy blu-ray release.

The booth that was showing the scenes was done by 20th Century Fox to promote the Blu-Rays. All the footage shown was from the actual Blu-Rays

They're not going to spend all that money to show how good the Blu-Rays will look and show old footage.

Can you show them? I will still wait until they are released to see if they have it or not (at least, the UK version).

I also cannot see why they would not show the blu-rays...

Do they think they can convince us to buy the blus by "reminding" us how much we enjoy the movies by showing us the DVDs?

Of course not! We know how much we love the movies, we need to see improvements in PQ to buy the movies on blu-ray. Plus I'm sure the people that actually attended the event were able to differentiate between SD and HD video.

As someone said earlier, it would have been easy for Lucasfilm/Fox to use the 2004 transfers in the trailer because they were already in 1080p. Therefore, we cannot be sure what the final result will look like.

This further dampens any hope I have of the transfers being different.

They made the 1080p transfers 7 years ago, why spend extra money making new ones... The DVDs sold well & they recouped the money spent making the new transfers.

Now they're only in the hole for whatever it took them to make the Phantom Menace changes (possible Ep. II and II changes?).

Even if the set doesn't sell well (by Star Wars standards), it will still make Lucas a load of money.

They probably figured a long time ago that the 2004 masters would be used for blu-ray. Perhaps they're investing their current time & money in rescanning the negatives for the 4K release.

It will be interesting to see what additional enhancements he will do to the blu-ray's.(you know background stuff, characters)

What was shown as far as deleted scenes was just the tip of the iceberg i'm interested in all the deleted, extended, alternate scenes that will be on discs 7and 8.

ROTJ is the only one that looks on par with the prequel quality.

Maybe in that screenshot, but not based on what we've seen in the trailer.

We will have to wait and see on September 12th when it gets released in the UK if these will be color corrected or not.

Lucasfilm has been very quiet regarding anything major i wonder if that is a good sign?

What happened last time guys, at the 04' comic con? What kind of footage was shown? History repeats itself, especially with Lucas. Was there any special footage? Were some on the inconsistencies debuted at the conference? From what I've heard, the 04' changes were all a surprise. Maybe the same thing will happen this time.
