You do know LG didn't do the transfer for T2 right?

Those morons have at least adopted the format and have put out some great releases. Does it mean these will look great? No, but it doesn't mean they will be bad either.

So you use one example and ignore all of the stellar 4K UHDs they've released... why again? To complain? "Morons" like Lionsgate have released a good number of fantastic UHDs, but that doesn't fit your agenda, I guess. Using T2 as the sole example shows you really have no clue how releases work, but please some post more dissension for absolutely no reason.

Fair enough, but still I wouldn't get excited until the final product is out. Who cares if someone adopts the format, if they don't take full advantage of it like most don't. It's like praising a company for adopting blu but only doing DVD upconverts. I don't expect them to look like they where filmed yesterday, but a big enough to upgrade beyond the current blu? Sure T2 wasn't done in house at LG but they sure as hell released it in that way. Surely those at LG saw the quality of T2 before releasing it, or is it just that they're morons and don't know better until their customers, who are smarter than them, call them out of it. Or are they just so scummy and didn't care and thought the 4kers are stupid or such suckers for the format that they'll buy anything vomited out in front of them? Not saying all LGs releases are crap, but not a company to put your 4king faith in yet, in general.

When it comes to predicting releases, I don't mind being wrong when I have a negative outlook. Hopefully I'm wrong but seeing as how most 4k releases in general aren't that great a leap, compared to DVD to Blu, I won't hold my breath.

Guy without a 4K TV, or possibly a low end 4K TV, complains about 4K.

News at 11.

Well, after shipping charges it will come out to about the same thing.

Unless they have an elite account.

The Halloween and Evil Dead UHDs can be pre-ordered from Bull Moose for $17.97 each. Orders over $30 qualify for free shipping and they ship (and charge) as items become available.

Exactly. If that Blu-Ray was "how it is supposed to look," then it was the first time, because I had never seen the movie's color scheme so anemic as that across any prior platform.

Reality is that he probably isn't paying much attention to these transfers even if his name is plastered on them. That's likely the case when he's "approving" transfers that look fundamentally different from one another like the two versions of THE THING, not to mention radically different color timing on multiple versions of HALLOWEEN.

Reasonable prices for sure. The only issue for me is that some much stuff is coming out in late Sept and October that I can't afford everything and I haven't decided what I'm going to pick up on day one. Seriously, October is packed with stuff that is going to be released. Although, with amazon keeping list prices on Scream's for at least a few weeks they might make of my decisions for me.

Just preordered mine, since it is my favorite horror film of all time.

I did not see it in the release notes but, will this 4k release have HDR attached to it? I can imagine how Cundey's cinematography will look with an HDR treatment to it.

Nope. Not for me at least. Shipping was free, all I had to pay was tax. Total came out to be $19.47. Amazon's total would be 24 dollars and some change when you factor tax in.

However, I can't imagine Amazon's won't come down in price by release date. They always seem to list it for full retail and then reduce from there by the time the disc hits the street. At least that's been my experience lately.

Seeing as Amazon wont ship to Australia anymore I pre-ordered with DIABOLIK. It is the first time I have ordered from overseas to Australia (except for masks from TrickOrTreatStudios). Is there any Aussies who have used DIABOLIK before? I couldn't see any reference to be able to track your order so I guess it may just be a game of 'wait and see'.

I've used DIABOLIK many times, completely reliable.
Email them about tracking your order and I'm sure they will reply.

Bull Moose has pretty good prices on a couple of these. Might have to use that site for preorders on 4 or 5 of the upcoming ones. Love the Halloween box art too.

Oh, I see... There are no shipping charges right now. Does Bestbuy charge for pre-orders up front or when it ships? I've bought things from BB, but I don't pre-order from them.

They charge up front for Paypal. Credit cards get a temp charge for a couple days and released and then you get charged when it's released.
