the spot you enter your email also says "notify me if you restock"... between the mixups with the discs to their contradiction in wording it depends if you want to take that risk of waiting for them to restock and if they don't the prices people are willing to pay may go even higher

"Both Standard and 4K formats are currently sold out but will be restocked. Please enter your email in the field below to receive a notification." and after I enter my email: "Thanks for your interest in Midsommar Director's Cut: Collector's Edition, we'll let you know when it's back." and with the ebay prices when I looked the other day like starting at $160 or something insane worth the risk, good chance to get it for vastly less, extremely slight chance have to pay more than $160 later on |

Pleased to report the Director's Cut is identical visually to the previous Italian Theatrical 4k
HDR > SDR, 150nits via MadVR, Jpeg quality 10 Theatrical top, DC bottom ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd chalk any difference at all up to it being a different encode. Nothing you'd ever notice watching it. |

I do that with all my CD and Vinyl purchases as well. I've even gone so far as to buy older CDs I don't have off eBay sealed with the stickers and information on top intact. I display some of them on my entertainment center. I'm thinking of getting a clear glass bowl or something smallish to set on my entertainment center and put the CD wrappers in for better display purposes. I'll be like Bruce Wayne and do some spelunking. |

You guys save the white title strip with the barcode that is on cases? I am one who saves the stickers that list features, but those white strips go in the trash before even the shrinkwrap does. The white strip sticker is worthless to me and I have been through thousands of cases.

Yes, I do save them. I put them on the wrappers (if they come off completely undamaged). They're just as important as the shrink wrap. The reason being is that no does this anymore hardly. I never see it on CDs and it is really cool. At least some of them are. The Warner ones are the best. But if you think that is nuts go on eBay and check out CD long boxes. Some of those can go for quite a lot of money. Without the CD in it. |

There is some very small writing on the disc that says “1080p High Definition” but it’s tough to see due to the disc artwork and otherwise the two versions are identical. Any extra visual evidence that they sent the wrong edition is welcome.

Mine has the Ultra HD logo on it that’s a bit bigger than the other writing. Even with the artwork the logo is easily recognizable, to me.

exactly, you can even see it on their website in the pics showing the artwork... it's a black logo and boldly stands out over the rest of the disc art

I wouldn’t know what the UHD looks like. Anyway, there’s really nothing to discuss. When you’re dealing with a company that reportedly has a poor record on responding to customer issues, the more info you can send them about their mistake the better.
