Those that have spoken with him privately (which I have not, since I imagine his inbox has already been deluged with the same questions and lamentations from countless others) may know differently, but everyone should prepare for the possibility that, after a banning that severe, he may not be eager to return at all.

One small question… how likely is it for UK to get standalone release of only the first movie?

They don’t have one yet? I thought there was one already?

There is only Steelbook edition which is sold out, and from what I understand regular standalone was never released.

Recently i have learned that German 4K editions sometimes comes with reversible covers, one being in German, and other side in English. Can someone who already own german edition of first film confirm if that is indeed the case?

German films sometime have reversible covers but not for dual language, they do it so people can have a cover without that honking great ratings logo on it. So it's German on both sides, but one has a ratings logo and one doesn't. Make sense?

No idea if this applies to the MI movies, but it worth mention

I see, thanks for reply. I guess i got it wrong then, because i saw The Princess Bride have German and English, but maybe i got that one wrong too.

Before i started to invest in 4K i said to myself no special editions, no steelbook, no this, no that, i just care about disc and to have it as simple as possible. The only standard i put on myself was to buy UK editions when possible, and i thought there is always going to be normal regular editions anyway, so no stress about missing out, right? But as i got deeper now i see again it’s not that simple, this title i cannot find standalone UK edition, and i don’t want and don’t care for entire collection. There are more examples, for some reason Do the Right Thing don’t have regular UK release, only steelbook, Lawrence of Arabia is part of collection only, Taxi Driver is the one i really want, but i will have to wait 2 years maybe before they release it on it’s own. Now Gandhi and A Clockwork Orange are coming out, but only limited special editions and so on… i guess there is always going to be something to annoy collectors.

I think Princess Bride does, you’re right, but that’s an exception to the whole ‘reversible cover’ thing in Germany. 99% of the time it’s as per the above post.

TBH I’m not bothered about funny foreign writing on a case…unless it’s one of them Canuck bilingual monstrosities. Just pick one! Make it all French, fine. Just don’t do that. (I’ve still got several of them tho because I won’t let my principles get in the way of a damned good price.)

I have an absolutely stacked German Blu-ray of The Wave, and no idea what most of the special features are, because it's all in German. But then so are the features themselves, so it hardly matters really.

Are the included 1080p discs for each film remastered, containing the same 4k transfer as the UHD discs?

Not on the first three films, no.

4, 5, and 6 don’t need remastered 1080p discs because they are recent.

Dang. So I guess the only way to watch the new transfers is in 4k UHD, which I don't have yet.
