My ac3 LD sounds very nice but not ear bleeding. It's a nice dynamic mix and the Blu-ray sounds the same. Perhaps the DTS LD is louder?

Same here! The original film is the one I'm really interested in here, seeing as it would be replacing the cruddy old Blu-Ray that was never that great.

To be honest the only other one I'd be excited about is Ghost Protocol if had some new master with shifting aspect-ratios for the IMAX scenes. Otherwise I'm pretty much just looking for how the first film comes out.

According to Paramount Japan, the first three films have Dolby TrueHD 5.1, while the fourth has its Dolby TrueHD 7.1 track. Obviously, the fifth film has its Dolby Atmos track:

Jack Reacher is released in Japan on the same day, apparently with its DTS-HD MA 7.1 track:

So Zoom's audio details on Dolby TrueHD 5.1 was right then. Was really hoping for Dolby Atmos remixes.

JR got Atmos theatrically. I was hoping this will have Atmos.

It still could, as I've seen Paramount/NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan fudge specs before. For example, they are still listing triple-layer 100 GB discs as dual-layer 66 GB discs. But more often than not their specs are accurate, and these ones seem accurate.

We shall see.

It was in Dolby Surround 7.1, not Atmos theatrically.

IMDb is FakeNews.

It's not on Dolby Atmos website nor in the movie credits.

Looks like Zavvi will be selling the steelbooks for £23.99, no mention of a Zoom type bundle offer.

Interesting to see whether Zoom lower the price of their bundle offer like they did with Jurassic Park if the business is heading more towards Zavvi.

If you buy them all its cheaper, Zavvi obviously see the money in the individual releases at a cheaper price, if they're correct Zoom may lower the price of the bundle to make it more attractive for people who aren't planning on buying them all.

Does nobody know if the U.K. will get a 4K boxset of all the previous films? Or will they leave that for a six film boxset?

I would rather go with zoom anyway.
Zavvi are terrible.
