Expect a UK boxset to be announced soon, as I just pre-ordered all of them using Deep Discount's 15% off code.

Zoom Exclusive steelbook page (get all 5 for £100 or £24.99 each):

https://www.zoom.co.uk/category/miss...tion_4k_steelb

Sadly signup10 doesn’t work as there’s already an offer. Still not bad.

Hmmm.
So we could pay £100 for I, III, GP and RN or we could get all five movies for £100 using that offer. I see what they're doing. They're trying to hoist a free copy of M:I 2 onto everybody.

That's usin' the old noodle, Paramount!!

That's great news there's finally a UK date! But I think I'll wait a little longer for either regular UK releases or a boxset, unless there won't be a UK boxset and getting the exclusive Zoom steelbooks will be cheaper than getting seperate UK releases.

Switch M:I 2 with III, that's how I look at it.

Zoom did the same thing with the Jurassic Parks, announced the steels first (to get people rushing to buy them, obvs) and then the cheaper regular versions popped up a few weeks later, along with a bundle offer when the steels weren't selling so good! Still, they learned their lesson from JP by offering a nice bundle price if you buy all five MI's right off the bat. £20 each is pretty damned good for a 4K steely, but I still can't help but wonder if they're gonna do a boxset, or if I even need to get these immediately. Will hold fire for now.

Ah, I was gonna ask how much ye paid for them Captain. Next time DD get a code like that I might have a nibble, although if they put up five regular case movies @ £20 each then with the perennial zoom 10% that makes them £90...but with no digital codes to sell off.

Code's still valid the time of this post.

No digital copies and an imminent danger of no bonus discs. I own all the bonus discs already but still...

Will paramount announce the audio specs for these?

Or do we just wait until someone gets a review copy?

I know, but I'm thinking of playing the long game on these ones. As much I love these films (mi2 aside) Paramount's iffy compression and wonky colour grading is dampening my enthusiasm to get these day 1, and with zoom coming up with some silly prices for UHD boxsets like Transformers and Cloverfield only a few months after release that's also playing on my mind. Even if there's no UK boxset I can see these MI's (in regular cases) ending up in a 2 for £30 before long. Yeah, I've ordered Jurassic Park day 1 but £63 for all four plus digital codes is right up my street despite what discounts will occur in the future.

I'm paying £47 for all the Jurassics via the French set, with the Amazon code that popped up last month.

They could arrive in a bin bag at that price lol

Don't give amazon any ideas. An executive has probably put the wheels in motion already "Hmm. Bin bags. It's so devilishly simple. Mary! Get me Jeff Bezos on the phone!"

Hoping no poverty audio this time.

Poverty Audio is why I never picked up the original one on blu-ray.

Should be up in a week or two probably. Knowing Paramount I guess Atmos mixes are pretty likely.
