This seems to be the link, but it's not working anymore. I also have a DD order in, so not sure what to make of this. Perhaps they pulled it because they sold through their allocation?

So I’m curious why it is that almost every other retailer has removed their listings, canceled orders, or will no longer let you place an order for the 4K unless you have a Europe address..

US rights holder has likely noticed that it is being imported and got his lawyer involved

Seeing everyone try to solve a work around makes wish for a Region A release. By pass this cluster.

Wouldn't surprise me if Rubinstein did this. But maybe this is a sign that there is something on the horizon.

The only retailer that has canceled orders due to the shipping address is Base.

Base's email explains that this is a store-wide policy and nothing to do with a specific item.

The only retailer blocking purchase AFAIK is Amazon, and they've been like that with items at random ever since COVID hit.

Why only the 4K version? I can checkout with the regular version but not the 4K. 4K says you need to change your shipping address..

It's obvious it has to do with Dawn. It was never a problem until this set came up.

Amazon is only blocking 4k orders and not the regular set. Base is now on that list, but they're covering themselves by blocking everything. If it's a coincidence it's wild.

Yeah, it's such a coincidence that this has happened...six months after the set went on sale. Irrefutable evidence.

The fact that Amazon will ship one and not the other is further evidence for "Amazon's shipping policy post-COVID is random", not "something's up with DotD", because why would they ship the standard Blu in the latter case?

C'mon people.

Ugh, I bit the bullet and ordered from Zavvi US. $119 (as opposed to Zavvi UK which would have been $10 more).

I think my base.com order was about $95.

I never have ever spent this much money on one movie (outside of my own!) and there are very, very few movies I would dig this deeply for, so I am hoping that if Rubenstein does release a US version of this down the line he at least makes it worth a double dip (or in my case, a quadruple dip, considering I have the DVD box set and a previous blu ray release).

What's interesting is that they won't ship the 4K since that's region free, but will allow the Blu-ray to be shipped which is region locked.

I always had a sense that Second Sight wasn't solely responsible for the restoration costs, and there is another label involved. Again, I'm pretty sure there will be a US release announcement within the next 12 months. The big question is who has it?

If anyone is buying the UHD and wants to dump their Anchor release at a fair price, let me know. I'm holding out for a non-box set version.

For what it's worth Amazon UK seems just fine with sending me the 4K UHD at the moment. I just checked. I'm not about to spend $107 on one film so I didn't complete the transaction but for those still wanting to lock up a preorder, here's another chance.

Not yet. I placed an order with Zavvi, but I also placed an order with Diabolik as a backup, just in case anything happened with the Zavvi order.

Yesterday I received an email from Zaavi that DAWN OF THE DEAD 4K box had shipped
from the UK and would arrive circa November 20-27. I can't wait to see the restoration.

DAWN OF THE DEAD is one of the greatest films ever made of all time. Right up there with
KING KONG, CASABLANCA, HIGH NOON, REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA,
2001, THE GODFATHER, CHINATOWN and STAR WARS. And that's no hyperbole.

I'm just going for the Blu-ray box and had placed a pre-order with Amazon UK over a month ago. Yesterday I got notice that my payment was processed so it appears it will soon be on it's way.
