Indeed. Fingers crossed that it's well done and a 2D BD release happens somewhere down the road.

And I'm not meaning to knock you down at all, your site is a fabulous resource for all things Dawn related, but just bear in mind that someone with a pitiful portable picnic player of a system *might* not have the same experience as you with [whatever] disc.
Haha thanks mate!

Next time I should refrain commenting subtitles related post.

Wanting to add a few more horror flicks to my collection. And the reviews say it's great but I have never seen it. Is it worth paying for the Price as its oop

How does the Australian Umbrella BD from 2010 stack up with the other international releases?

Same transfer as the Arrow disc, which is the best version of the movie IMO

Lucky you! I just found a used copy today for $13.66 on Amazon. I've never seen it drop below $30.00 on there before. It was an instant buy for me since I only own the DVD.

Umbrella BD was available from BestBuy and DeepDiscount pretty recently, but I can't find it anywhere, not even JBHi-Fi. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I had the same issue, it was readily available and even around $10 from Amazon a one point. Deep Discount cancelled my order in February, and around the same time Umbrella removed it off their website. I ended up ordering it from a reseller on Amazon for $12, but it looks like the prices are already way up on the Umbrella import.

Thanks, I must have been lucky when I got it from DD a couple months ago. Looking for a friend, ridiculous that DAWN Blus are $50+ on eBay.

I picked up the Umbrella version on Amazon U.K. for 20.00 U.S. dollars about 15 days ago. Amazon U.S. screwed me out of the U.S. version that I snagged for 13.66.

I'm actually glad I went with the Umbrella version since it used the same transfer as Arrow. I'm pretty content until a new version hopefully comes along.

... But yes, prices for this are insane, and the Umbrella version is definitely starting to increase too. I so badly want a copy of the Arrow version to add to my collection but refuse to pay the outrageous asking price.

Thanks for this, though Amazon UK is more like $25-30 shipped at the moment.

Kind of glad I kept my Arrow release. :-) Wasn't very fond of it first, but no great alternative seem to exist.

The XT/Happinet discs demolish the AB/Arrow ones. Filmlike vs smeared with ghosting.

I doubt it, considering there are plenty of versions of that and it's in-print in this country. Unless he was willing to split them up and sell "Day" for far less, I guess.

That's why I was curious because they seemed to be a package deal at Anchor Bay for awhile. I have the Anchor Bay Blu-ray of Dawn, but hung onto my Ultimate Edition DVD for all the special features/multiple cuts of the film. It's a shame the guy wants too much money to license it because as of right now he's not making any since it's out of print on all formats in the US. -_-
