So what is this exactly? I just scrolled through a few pages and am still not sure.

What will we be getting? What is Argento's cut? I am a little confused. ZOMBI is the Italain named version of DAWN OF THE DEAD right?

Thank you to anyone.

It's basically a re-edit of the film that Dario Argento did for the Italian market. It's shorter and has a lot more Goblin music in it.

At least I think that's the case? I haven't seen anything other than the theatrical cut. I tried watching the extended cut once and my DVD froze up on me halfway through...

That's a very good price. I need to know just how English friendly everything is before ordering though.

So basically the chances of the good cuts looking anywhere close to as good as the Italian version are nil, right?

I'm just going to be patient on this one. Not a fan of the Italian cut and this might be a sign the prices are going down and someone in the US or UK might get the normal cut remastered. I can wait.

It's pretty much a given that this will have Italian menus and whatnot. I shouldn't think that it'll have forced subs, but even if it does my player can shift the subtitles off of the screen anyway! Bwuhahahahahahahaaaa!

It really makes no sense why they would only do a 4K restoration of the cut that is universally recognized to be the weakest of the 3.

It makes a lot of sense. The guy with the rights to the good versions won't give them up. This was the only loophole to restore ANYTHING.

Beyond that, there are lots of people who actually prefer the "Argento cut".

Mind you, I'm not one of them, but there are people who do, and a good number of them.

Maybe in YOUR universe. Not here in Europe. Every horror fan I know in person loves the Argento cut. It's the version most people here want to see remastered.
Of course I'd like to have a remaster of the US cut too. I have no intention to ever watch the extended cut again.

According to the Digital Bits it will have English and Italian Audio plus English subtitles. No idea what's on the 5 Blu-rays but it's undoubtedly the various other cuts of the film from around the world plus maybe extras? The regular Blus will most likely be region locked since it's Koch but since you're listed as being in the UK, that shouldn't be an issue for you.

Any idea if the Blu of the Euro cut will be 4K remastered, as I don't plan on getting a 4K TV for a while?

Yes. Absolutely sure. Logically, anyway.
