The old 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD Blu-ray is just about the only BD that refuses to play on my Sony Playstation 3 deck, so of course I'd love to see TT release an updated transfer. That disc does play on my multi-region deck, but has never played on my Sony deck. Odd, since I think it was Sony themselves that released that old BD.

Indicator in the UK are reportedly planning a Sinbad set with all the movies and maybe Jason as well. They use much better encoders than Twilight Time does and their Sony releases are region-free, so I would definitely keep an eye out for that.

Sounds like an identical set to the Australian Fantastic Films of Ray Harryhausen. I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for it, especially if the encode is even better.

My last 3 orders arrived safely from the TT sale & hopefully will be my last. With the advent of Indicator the need to pay the hefty premium for TT titles plus the potential risk of shipping overseas will become a thing of the past.

However if a title is released by TT and becomes low stock I know I won't risk missing out in the hope a U.K. Label picks it up :

I think some of these will stay at that until there is another sale. I can't imagine anyone dropping 30 clams on any of those early ones anymore.

Indeed. Shocked even that many remain of those that dropped to $8.

And I'm pretty sure most of those you can grab for less than $30 via 3rd parties that are tying to make a few bucks when they bought them at $8.

So far from my last batch of titles, I've watched The Dogs Of War (wish there was more actual WAR in it, but still good), Summer Lovers (young Daryl Hannah nude... ) and Man Hunt (solid enough noir thriller).

Yeah it's pretty telling not that many sold out even at the much lower sale prices. There just isn't a market for a lot of these movies on blu, fair or not.

While I do agree that the market for some of these films is very limited,
I must also add that Twilight Time and Screen Archives are somewhat unknown to those not "in-the-club" (so to speak).

I know a lot of people in the film business, and if I mention any of these films being available from Twilight Time or Screen Archives, most of them go "Huh? Who? Never heard of them?"

And that is from people who love movies!

That there was a sale (of which I purchased 5 tltles) was like something offered to the inner circle of those in the know.

Those who read Blu-ray.com or many other such sites think that everyone else does too,
but I seriously doubt that the majority of film fans do.

Hardly anyone I know is aware of these sites,
and no one that I know had heard of Twilight Time before I told them about the company.
A few of these people have nice home theaters.

I am surprised that they put "Wayward Bus" (and any of the other $8 titles) back at full price, if they couldn't sell out at the discounted price. But I guess they moved enough inventory for a while...

You are not wrong. They've said that they have licenses for two Yuen Woo-Ping films, Drunken Master and Snake in Eagle's Shadow.

I have to take that back now. I just received my very first order from Flicker Alley. It was two Blu-rays (albeit one was a fairly thick SteelBook), and it came in a good-sized flat box (13"x9.5"x3") padded generously with bubblewrap, and a giant "FRAGILE" sticker on the face of the box.

Now that is packaging!

Well and there's also the cost. A lot of those titles DID sell out and even at the discount prices, you can only buy so many at once. If and when there's another sale, I'll go back and look at picking up a few more of those titles.

I haven't ordered from them in a long time, but I was always pretty impressed with their packaging.

I'm finally through with the avalanche of orders I started placing back on Nov. 16th. My last order arrived today. Thanks to the folks on this site for informing many of my choices.

With the exception of Remo Williams and Murphy's Law, which I haven't seen, these are all films I know and enjoy. They're newer releases, so this one didn't take advantage of the sale.

THE TRAIN (ENCORE EDITION)
REMO WILLIAMS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS.
MURPHY'S LAW
STARDUST MEMORIES
BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA (ENCORE EDITION)
RUNAWAY TRAIN
EYE OF THE NEEDLE
MOBY DICK
FROM NOON TILL THREE
MOSCOW ON THE HUDSON

I own 156 Twilight Times now, but I only had 32 prior to the sale.

This year I'll be spending plenty of time in the dark room.

Sweet. I may grab the forthcoming MASTERS OF CINEMA edition that was just announced. Who knows when we'll see the TT edition.

You, sir, should be given TT stock and probably need a second job. You might also be the sole reason people are going crazy waiting for their orders to ship!

I agree that most people don't know who TT is.

But anyone that collects movies (blurays) should know about this site, though I wouldn't expect them to read the "posts"

This site is one of the top returns for anyone searching for just about any title + the word bluray. Anyone that uses the internet to search for titles to buy is going to run across this place.

Still not selling out of a title when you put it on sale for $8 speaks volumes about the actual market value of many of the titles.

Glad that only Jane Eyre was one of the 75% off titles I had purchased previously. (Being a Joan Fontaine fan, my search for her films on bluray lead me to discover TT in the first place). Was glad I could get another copy at the sale price for my brother who is also a fan, but not interested in $30+ versions. Especially for a single layer encode.
