I had no idea at all that Fortune Cookie was coming to Blu until today. Somehow missed the news totally on this one. But ordered today because I've become a big Jack Lemmon fan.

Really? I had no idea there even was another release of this. Gotta admit the Fury isnt a Love movie for me more of a Like movie lol but I am a pretty big DePalma fan so when I saw one for that price figured I should snag it since everyone else wanted $50 and up. I wouldnt pay even $40 lol but if the Arrow actually looks that much better and is region free ill def check it out. Im sure I could sell the TT for what I paid.

The Arrow is B-locked, but I believe their master was licensed and used by an Australian or German label? One of those. Anyway, that other release is region-free. You'll have to research to find it.

Here's the comparison on Capsaholic. Pretty large IMO but these things vary person to person.

Here's an article that mentions the new transfer being created in tandem with Arrow, Carlotta, and Shock.

"Murphy's Law" has so many of the essential elements that make both 80s Bronson and Cannon great. Bronson buying a ton of groceries early in the movie. Check. Bronson seemingly not caring and not being remotely emotional when his ex-wife is gunned down. Check. Bronson living in complete squalor. Check. Bronson as a cop whose peers are abnormally hostile and idiotic. Check. Bronson remaining laconic and insouciant to a world around him that seems like an unlivable hellhole. Check. Bronson going from being just a normal dude to being inserted into an insane situation, like being in prison, in seemingly no time. Check. Bronson seeking revenge for the incredibly violent deaths of those close to him. Check.

It's a glorious, brilliant movie.

Does anyone know if the ALL region Via Vision Blu of Rollerball is the Twilight Time transfer or the Arrow transfer? It's cheaper than Twilight's reissue but I have no idea what it is.

You should pose this question on the Aussie threads. User Cevolution is pretty knowledgeable about all of the Aussie releases and might be able to help you there.

Speaking of Murphy's Law, it's the title being offered up this month as the signed promo.

Copied from the Screen Archives website:

April 10th - A limited special offer from TWILIGHT TIME this Wednesday, April 12th at 4 PM Eastern time - an autographed copy of MURPHY'S LAW- signed by KATHLEEN WILHOITE! This will be available to those customers who spend a minimum of $149.75, before shipping, on other TWILIGHT TIME product. You must add the signed edition to your cart and check out successfully with an order confirmation number to qualify. There will be a page just like the other titles to be added to your cart located on the homepage within the TWILIGHT TIME new releases box. This is a first come first serve offer, with a limit of one per customer. YOU MUST HAVE THE QUALIFYING TWILIGHT TIME ITEMS WITHIN YOUR CURRENT ORDER, NO PREVIOUS ORDERS OR FUTURE ORDERS QUALIFY.

All that and Kathleen Wilhoite calling him 'scrotum cheeks' too. Which makes you wonder just what she's signing on those promo copies...

Some of the insults she comes out with are completely absurd. Maybe she'll tell everyone to, "Suck a door knob".

If the Twilight Time commentary is any indication I recommend not speaking to Kathleen Wilhoite if you encounter her in person. Just smile and nod.

Watched How to Steal a Million over the weekend on Netflix and had to order a copy of the Blu-ray. I'm hoping the BD will look better than the version streaming on Netflix, which looks decent; however, there's certainly room for improvement. The movie itself is pretty slight, but both of the leads define charming. It's not on the same level as Two for the Road (which I thought had some of Audrey's best acting), but it's more fun to watch.

Looks like Indicator is releasing a couple of sold out TT favorites in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger in June. The best part is there will be a brand new 4k scan of the OCN of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. I always thought TT would get that one.

Maybe TT WILL get 7TH VOYAGE? They're scheduled to announce new release titles on April 15th.

If they do and it's the new 4k scan then I'll cancel my Indicator set and go with the TT single release of 7th Voyage. If all Sinbad movies have a new scan then I'll go the Indicator route.

Not likely. There is already a release in the U.S. from Sony.

You think Sony would allow a release of superior quality through another company? That makes no business sense.

Uhm, yeah. They're letting Powerhouse / Indicator release it in the UK. Sony cares very little about catalogue releases these days.
