Edit 2: Apparently La Notte is 100% coming according to the private eyes on CForum.
The Uninvited is great! Hope it's true! To the best of my knowledge, it's the first movie to take ghost seriously, that is to use ghost solely for horror and not just as a comedic device.

I got the British DVD last year, but I will upgrade instantly if Criterion releases a BD.

True. These sorts of things have been wrong in the past.

One day...

I'd also like for these to be announced

The Element of Crime (Or any other Trier)
Kids (Or any other Korine)
Ikiru (Or any other Kurowsawa)
Mulholland Drive
The "Before" Trilogy
The Pusher Trilogy (Or any other Refn)
Sydney (Director's version of Hard Eight)

The Uninvited is one of my most requested movies. I absolutely love this movie. I never expected Criterion to release it. I literally just picked up the LD a few months ago.

Im pretty sure this will be here by the end of the year. I can vaguely remember Wes Anderson mentioning this in an interview.
Also, I believe La Strada is going to be a November release. I've seen it before, but still have an unopened DVD of this.
Might be too soon for Mulholland Dr as well.

with the rossellini box last month, and the apparition of notte this month, CC is beefing up on some much needed and anticipated Italian fare

Why can't it be extended to August 13th? All I'm needing is "Seconds"

Of course, some of us will complain until they finally upgrade The Bicycle Thieves

I have never heard of it. But after reading about it just now (here and on IMDB), all I have to say is: DAY ONE.

I'm loving October's slate. Scanners and/or Eraserhead and/or The Brood would make it even better.

That'll be a blind buy for me. But I'll have to wait until November's sale probably. Unless they extend it one more time.

Based on some comments from various Twitter accounts, I am feeling very confident that Eraserhead will be announced for October.

I'll be getting it when it hits Blu-Ray, but I have to get Anderson's other films first (except Fantastic Mr. Fox, I don't like that one).
