Phew, Blow was one of those titles that we were throwing hissy-fits over due to lack of lossless! These are Warner titles, right? Let's cut them some slack. A little.

Good to have this one verified - now to finish off Speed Racer, since some reputable folk (Josh) are saying it does indeed have TrueHD.

Pick up Blow, and rental for Confidential. Great news.

It's maybe just on warner back catalog titles that they are using bog standard 5.1 on.

I bet all their special editions etc will have lossless. Even sony have started using TrueHD on their catalog titles.

Quick snippet we all need to read and will post in multiple places:

And here's the good news: Warner's senior catalog team has confirmed to me directly that Blow and L.A. Confidential at least are actually being released on BD-50s with Dolby TrueHD audio. I'm awaiting a similar update on Speed Racer. It seems that incorrect information has been finding its way into the recent press releases for these titles (and the studio's press website) - a situation which we presume is going to be rectified

Excellent. There we go Warner, BD-50s and TrueHD. Now just keep doing this every single time.

I'm getting really confused, maybe I should just be mad with Warners PR person.

Fingers crossed for update on Speed Racer

Excellent. Now let's hope they don't f*** up the transfer. If they are good I will buy them. I think anything from warner is going to be netflixed from here on out until they prove themselves.

Is anybody else concerned about the above word (bolded by me)? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that the intention is for all catalog titles to feature "lossless" audio, but I hope the same could be said for D&D (Day & Date) releases as well?

I think they mean that ALL titles going forward INCLUDING catalog titles will be with lossless audio.

I have to say that you are reading way too much into something that is not there.
Catalog releases are where most of the worry was, that is what is being addressed.
New releases SHOULD be a no brainer (though we will see what the truth on Speed Racer reveals )

Yeah I feel much better now. I just could not understand why Warner would go backwards especially since they won the format war for Blu-ray and all. I will re-preorder all the titles I cancelled yesterday.
