Red face Blu-Ray Obsession?

Is there anyone else out there that has an unhealthy obsession with Blu-Ray? Symptoms include: Checking this site multiple times daily, buying BD movies with every penny available, looking for any deal on a BD movie on eBay (even if you don't like the movie that much), an extremey strong hatred towards HD-DVD, feeling like a boy before Christmas when you here an upcoming title being released on BD, and any other feelings that you never came close to with DVD.

I never thought I really had a problem until my g/f pointed it out.. but she'd watch a VHS and enjoy it just as much so what does she know.

That sounds like a disease I have. As far as diseases go, it's a pretty good one. Long live blu-ray!

I don't like to think of it as an obsession but more so as achieving an enlightened film state.

I am a card carrying obsessed member. The Sony demo of Open Season (in particular the waterfall scene) started my obsession for Blu-ray. The PQ was off the hook!!! I have not been the same since.

I must admit that last week was tough with no new releases. The Amazon sale did help though. I can only imagine how those HD-DUD fanboys must feel with no releases week after week. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I don't have a problem. I don't. everyone else has a problem. I visit this site so many times a day. I have a pda and a job that affords me the free time to search this site and others. I am new to the addiction, but am trying to catch up.

I almost bought the transporter and remembered that I hadn't seen it, and didn't like the idea of it.

my wife doesn't get it, ''why do we need to buy lady in the water and mission impossible again? we already have them.'' aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to ignoring it, and enjoying the results.

No question I'm hooked. My symptoms include: visiting this site - sometimes, well past midnight, checking out BR sales rankings at Amazon, inspecting "HD wars" data at DVD Empire and eproductwars, flashing plastic at retailers, reading Chad's reviews at hometheaterspot.com - and after all that enjoying the wonderful PQ and SQ most BR disks provide!

Yes, I'm hooked. I can only imagine how badly withdrawal may hit
and no - I don't want to be changed... won't be attending any "BRA" meetings!

Rup.

Just because I spend money i should use for lunch, or happen to browse the blu-ray section at my local circuit city and best buy even though i'm not going to buy anything, or happen to come on to this site when doing serious research on the upcoming video games, or ...... "no dear, thats a regular dvd i haven't bought any blu-rays in months. I know i promised. Casino Royale came out in November!".....

I'm Blu-ray (and HD-DVD) obsessed, and I still don't have a Blu-ray player (due to the pathetic speed at which second-generation machines are being issued in the UK). Lord only knows how obsessed I'll be when I get my player. I already have a handful of UK/US discs waiting for the big day!

I wouldn't say I have a hatred towards HDDVD since I won about 10 of them as well but I definitely prefer to buy BD. I defiantly want BD to become the only HD format because I hate that stupid external HDDVD drive I have to have hooked up to my 360 to watch HDDVD movies.
