Who are you kidding? The changes aren't gonna stop when Lucas dies.

In the year 2077...

"Fellas! I just invented full immersion movies! You actually stand in the middle of a holographic movie! It sounds, smells, and feels just like real life!!"

...in a dark and creepy celebrity cemetery, the zombie hand of GL thrusts out of a burial mound. As the creature unearths itself and begins limping towards Skywalker ranch, it mumbles, "Revision... revision.... REVISION!!!"

The current Amazon prices seem pretty good.

But do you think they'll drop much more? Wondering if I should be patient and hope for better.

Why not pre order now, with Amazon's policy, you get the lowest price between the time you order and the time it is released

Wow ... I thought this thread was Star Wars fans excited about the blu-ray release??? I for one enjoy the changes to the OT and love the PT (and I thought KotCS ROCKED!!)

I just wanna point out that the only movie that has come close to "raping my childhood" was G.I. Joe ... movie was an abomination ... but guess what ... I dont post in ANY G.I. Joe related threads. Maybe some people that are posting here should go post elsewhere ... this thread is for discussion of the upcoming Star Wars blu-ray that does not include the UOT ... please post elsewhere if all your gonna do is *****

It's taking them out of *context*

It's fine to defend movies you enjoy, but it's ridiculous to try to justify the most obvious flaws of the prequels. I love the first Star Wars film from 1977, but Carrie Fischer's British accent always bugs me. Still a great film that I'll defend, but no movie is perfect.

Anakin and Padme had the most awkward, chemistry-less love scenes I've ever seen, and I love Natalie Portman.

One of the dealted scenes I am looking forward to the most on the blu-ray release is the whole wampa cut footage from the empire strikes back it was a hole set of scenes that where in the comics , and their is photos of those wampa cut scenes in the making of empire strikes back book that came out last year. That is one of the many cut scenes I am most looking forward to on the blu-ray release.

For the record, my main criticism of all the "ramblers" has been that none of them mention having taken their concerns to Lucasfilm directly, before mentioning them in here. I've mentioned many times, in the past few days alone, that complaining in here serves no valuable purpose. I highly doubt that Lucas moderates fan forums that often (if at all), so the best way to be heard is to write or call his company. Anything else just amounts to rampant, pointless debates, which never go anywhere except in circles.

What is the problem with debates so long as they are respectful? Pointing out the flaws of a film does not equate to pointless rambling or bashing. Flaws are subjective, just as perceived strengths are. Some people defend their positions better than others and provide stronger arguments, while some arguments are based purely on personal taste with no right or wrong answer. Blu-ray.com is a place for film enthusiasts to not only discuss the technical aspects of a release, but the films themselves. Intelligent discussions that are not one sided can be fun. There is no need to be hypersensitive or censor someone who doesn't share your view.

I'm sure many fans have voiced their concerns directly with Lucasfilm via e-mail or comments on stories. This forum is a platform for discussion and spreading information (and misinformation!). I find the debates strangely entertaining. The fans are so passionate regardless of where they stand on certain issues.

I've repeated myself in this thread, but here it goes again: if the fans want to protest the absence of the original versions, or possibly (unconfirmed) subpar HD transfers, or documentary selections, then upon release they should not buy the product. It's simple as that. Fox and Lucas will listen if money is involved. However, 99.9% of us will spring for Lucas' table scraps any day of the week, and we'll do this dance in a couple years with the next release.

It seems I'm being picked on again. I find it interesting that a real fan like me is singled out here..this just shows me that this place is full of lucas bashers..why did my post get deleted then?

On topic...how about ET in TPM? I think there should be a special edition and include more ET's walking around or participating..id also like to see The ET race in the clone wars series...discuss.

This is how it is done!

Lucas Fanboy: He is the creator, therefore everything he does is perfect!
SW Fanboy: These are the greatest films that have been made! And if you don't like every single moment of each film then you are nothing but a hater. A HATER!!!!!!
Unaltered Fanboy: If I don't get my UOT I will kick The Bearded One where it hurts him the most! Quick, to the forums!!
