It would be a nice surprise for AMoLaD to be announced sometime this year. Two other films that would be great to have on Criterion or on any above average blu this year are Roman Holiday and The Philadelphia Story.

Out-of-Print wishes: Bob le Flambeur and Ran. Please give the US licensing rights back to Criterion Studio Canal! I am one of the few oddballs that prefers Bob le Flambeur over Le Samourai. However, I hope that Criterion will offer an upgrade of Le Samourai soon because Ray Jackson and other member here may start flipping tables at Criterion headquarters soon if they don't.
I voted for it.

I really want Roman Holiday - it's a film that absolutely deserves a high quality release!

They should release a strictly 90's set for Lynch which would definitely force a double dip on FWWM:

Wild at Heart
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Lost Highway
The Straight Story
Exclusive Bonus Disc with documentary and special features.

And include Industrial Symphony No. 1 on one of those discs.

Wishful thinking I'm sure, but I would totally buy every single one of these films. (Even FWWM though I already have it)/

Le Samourai should be released very soon.

Criterion has top men working on the release:

I think it's safe to take Le Samourai off prediction lists. Not that it won't happen, but I don't think it will be a random surprise. We will hear news of the new restoration months in advance, like the Apu trilogy.

I wouldn't be surprised if Le Samourai doesn't come from a new restoration, but rather just a Digital HD restoration, aka, using the same HD master used for the DVD. Pathe already tried to do a 4K restoration of the film, and failed, so it's not really likely they're going to do another. I have to imagine the poor French restoration is why Criterion have been waiting this long, but at this point, I feel they may just give up and release what they have.

There was talk a while back of a Michael Winterbottom phantom page, so if you take that, add in the fact that I just bought the DVD off of eBay because I got tired of waiting for a Blu-ray, and it's a lock that 24 Hour Party People will be announced today.

It's usually in the afternoon around 5 Eastern, give or take a half hour or so.

I had the pleasure of re-visiting Pan’s Labyrinth on Saturday night via Criterion’s recent Blu-ray release. Quite a unique film and one that really held up during a second watch. I am not usually drawn to the fantasy genre, although it should be said that fantasy only makes up ½ of the narrative. My wife enjoyed it, too, also acknowledging that it isn’t something that we normally gravitate to.

I feel inclined to say that the PQ is outstanding. Outside of writing a review on the listing for the this release, I want to say that one of the reviews posted here is complete rubbish. I did not see any black crush whatsoever during the film. I, too, have an OLED TV and marveled at how much detail was visible during the dark scenes of the film… and there are many of them. I didn’t think it was perfect and noticed a bit of the macro-blocking that Pro-B spoke of in his review, but overall it was, along with Nocturnal Animals, one of the best viewing experiences I’ve had so far on the new TV.

My Hou collection finally feels "complete" after finally getting a copy of Olivier Assayas' Portrait of Hou Hsiao Hsien this weekend, but I'll still gladly take some Criterion blu-ray releases.

Since we won't be seeing The Devils anytime soon, how about a nice consolation prize of Mother Joan of the Angels? I believe it was recently released in Europe as part of a box set.
