Settled on this lot from the sale:

Also tossed in the DVD for The Most Dangerous Game, but didn't realize that Flicker Alley put it out on BD. Chances are I'll double-dip and make it a combo pack.

Ordered these three (and used my $10 credit from being a Criterion Channel member):

I was hoping to order The Fugitive Kind but it was already out of stock by the time I placed my order. I'll just have to get it in July.

I'm not saying Criterion's popularity is increasing, but it kinda seems like it on google trends, reddit, youtube, etc.
Of course it does regarding the funding of more obscure films and funding towards resto efforts if they need to do it themselves. While never officially stated those two Bay entries in their dvd days was basically so they could put out other things they really wanted to

My collection is housed in plastic storage bins in the walk-in closet of the upstairs guest bedroom in my townhouse. I organize the bins by genre (classic horror, film noir, science fiction, musical, western, etc.) instead of alphabetically, because I add to the collection so often.

As MifuneFan says, it's not much to see. It's just a bunch of clear-plastic Target bins that hold 25-30 Blu-rays apiece stacked on top of one another.

I do this because I don't want my downstairs living room to look like a Best Buy store. As much as I love Blu-rays, they're sort of fugly-looking when stored together.

I keep threatening to retire from Blu-ray collecting when my walk-in closet runs out of storage room. I'm getting fairly close to that point, although I've found creative ways to keep adding bins.

I'm trying to see more classic screwball comedies from the 1930s and 1940s and I can buy one right now in the flash sale. I'm debating on whether to buy The Palm Beach Story or Heaven Can Wait. Both would be blind buys so which one would you pick? or if you have any other suggestions on the genre, I would love to hear it. Thank you!

You can't go wrong with Preston Sturges for screwball comedy, The Palm Beach Story and Sullivan's Travels would get my vote.

I grabbed the Rainer Werner Fassbinder 'BRD Trilogy'. I have had the DVD Criterion set for a long time, so I waited for a sale to upgrade.

I also have had the Universal BD of Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" for ages, plus the Criterion DVD, so I waited for the sale to get the Criterion blu ray.

Used a gift card and a loyalty card, all I had to cover was shipping costs. Excited to dive deep.

Naked Island is amazing. You put that in & you'll be captivated.
Great visual storytelling + super cool music.
Never been so invested in people carrying water.

I went with:

Watched Sweet Smell of Success and Dillinger is Dead for the first time last year. Loved SSoS in all it's mean-spirited goodness. DiD mesmerized me, angered me, and ultimately stuck with me. I don't foresee a Blu-Ray upgrade in its immediate future so the DVD will more than suffice for now.

Gilda is a half-blind buy. I know I've watched it years ago but don't quite remember it. This was my most spur of the moment pick as the cover with Rita Hayworth called out to me as I chose my haul. Perhaps my subconscious knows something I don't.

Marketa Lazarová is a complete blind buy that has been on my radar for a long time. Really excited to experience this one for the first time.

Now I'm $40 away from the $50 gift certificate so I plan on purchasing Six Moral Tales come October Flash Sale to put me over the edge.
