No, there are one or two items in stock, and a few have gone out of stock since I put them in my cart.

I picked it up in the flash sale but have not yet watched it. The master is the same used for the DVD release. The Beaver review shows improvement, but nothing substantial. The film is a favourite of mine, so I'm glad to have it on BD.

PC is set on NYE, but I assume that's close enough.

I bought nearly 20 Criterion titles during the recent sale and almost all of them were blind buys. I'm slowly going through and so far, so good. The only one that has been a bit of a dud so far was "The Brood" but there are moments to like about it.

My movie collection mostly consisted of movies that I've seen, liked and want to own. Over the past few years as a rebelion against digital media, it has now turned into blind buying movies that I *think* I will like which brings me to finally dipping my toes into Criterion films.

Last night was my first silent film experience in Passion of Joan of Arc. I loved it.

It's truly amazing how a silent film can hold up in 2020. The acting, cinematography and while modern, the score. It all worked so well. I'm not religious but I've always been fascinated with Jeanne D'Arc and the movie really honors her legacy.

So far, Replusion has my favorite from the lot but I have many more to go.

As suggested earlier in the thread, I picked up Carnival of Souls and enjoyed it as well. It's funny how 2 low budget, guerrilla style films (Night of the Living Dead being the other) have ended up being some of the most stunning transfers I've seen in recent years. Really pristine transfers and almost rival UHD.

Here's what I have left to watch:

Barry Lyndon
Come and See
Dr. Strangelove
Elephant Man
Fantastic Planet
House
Ikiru
Last Temptation of Christ, The
Police Story
Police Story 2
Scanners
Seven Samurai
Silence of the Lambs
Solaris
Stalker
Vanishing
Videodrome

LOL at B&N trying to pass off a horribly-obvious reshrink-wrap job on My Own Private Idaho. Returned it and ordered it from the website; at least my membership will count for something there.

Would be interested to know if any members who recently bought WAR AND PEACE has a copy that notes Region A/B on the back. Criterion website says they exist, but it’s like a hunt for a yeti.

War and Peace Packaging Photos

Also this was taken directly from DVDBeaver's Review

NOTE: The Amazon UK pre-orders of Criterion's Blu-ray of War and Peace have been cancelled, and the ordering page removed. This is most likely due to BBFC rules restricting the release of a film that features either "the cruel infliction of pain or terror or the cruel goading of any animal to fury".
Hope this information helps. Also can't find it on the Criterion site either for UK Releases.

I just finished watching The Parallax View. It’s free with Amazon Prime.

Big thumbs up from me. Warren Beatty gives a fine performance, and the cinematography, especially towards the end of the film, is fantastic. I’ll be buying it during the February Flash Sale.

With Criterion now having distribution rights to this and Klute, I wonder if they’ll get All The President’s Men? While I don’t think the blu-Ray looks bad, it would definitely benefit from a remaster.

I’m pretty sure Gordon Willis has said he has issues with the color timing of All The Presidents Men Blu. So I hope they release.

I am very tempted to just get the box-set from Arrow which contains The Scar, Camera Buff, No End, and Blind Chance.

If you’re region free it’s great!
