In other news, Paramount has pre orders up for Don't Look Now, Rosemary's Baby, La Dolce Vita, and Day's of Heaven. Is there any other Paramount titles in the collection? I know Nashville is with Paramount, I want to try and grab which ones I can in case they go OOP.

Both of those films weren't licensed from Paramount. "The Naked Prey" is also one that neither of us mentioned.

Yeah, I figured that might happen. My sheets include original studio info, without noting licensor. I was trying to weed out the outliers on the fly. I should've caught The Blob, though.

Can someone tell me if you want package replacement for a film are they sending just the replacement material asked for or are they just re-sending another copy of the film?

I recently got a crushed case for "The Gunfighter" and they replaced the case and the art, not the booklet or disc. They were also amazing about replacing the cover art for "The Great Dictator" for me, which had bleached from years of occasional sunlight on the spine. The orange ink was really susceptible to light, apparently. For that one, they just sent me the cover insert. They asked for photo proof and about two weeks later both replacement items showed up.

From the latest films that have been added this month to the Criterion Channel, Ann Hui's 'Boat People' and 7 of Vera Chytilova's films (Bag of Fleas, TGM the Liberator, Prefab Story, Ceiling, Fruit of Paradise, Calamity, and Wolf's Hole) open with the Criterion Collection and Janus logos.

There hasn't been any indication they aren't, either.

Well it's on back-order, so it must not be doing too bad.

How it would be to see Heaven Can Wait (1978) and The Philadelphia Experiment (1984) and Strange Days (1995) on Blu-ray and DVD by Criterion with new restoration and extras?

I received my first direct order from Criterion today and I have to say I'm not particularly impressed. The discs were sent in a really flimsy box with no protection. My copy of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me was bent down the middle and the Tree of Life blu-ray looks worse for wear; the factory seal looks like it's maybe a shoddily repackaged return item (I was also surprised it had no blue sticker but in looking at this thread I guess that's not entirely uncommon).

Major excitement over all of those, but particularly Boat People - one of those films that are so great it's hard to believe they've been so difficult to see for all these years.

I wonder what the chances are Criterion could release Sonatine. They have a working relationship with Paramount and a Kitano film would be amazing on the label. Would love to see some new interviews for the film.

Dream release right there, an all-time favorite. Kitano rules!

What are the odds of Criterion releasing La Strada and Nights of Cabiria on a separate blu ray release this year?
