Yeah, I bought "Defending Your Life" for more than I would have paid on Amazon, but, as other have said, I wanted to a) support Criterion and b) get points toward a gift certificate.

Criterion/Janus have the rights to multiple documentaries from Kazuo Hara, which include 'Goodbye CP', 'Extreme Private Eros: Love Song 1974', 'The Emperor's Naked Army Marches On', 'A Dedicated Life', and 'Sennan Asbestos Disaster'.

Hope Criterion releases the Hanzo the Razor trilogy soon enough. Surprised they didn't follow up with this soon after they released the Lone Wolf films.

I'm sure I just need to see Charulata again to bump it up. They're all good, IMO. Even the Eclipse films, which contain his last 3 films. Ray's screen writing was so good; it was enough to carry those films even while his health limited what he could do behind the camera.

Last week, my phone died and was a little over a week out of manufacturers warranty so I probably would have ordered if I hadn't of just purchased a new phone. Maybe at the end of the month I'll knock some stuff of my July list.

Did you try getting the manufacturer to honor the warranty? Any decent company would honor it anyway.
