Some posters have reported it will start Friday (Nov 1), but I don't recall seeing anything official from B&N.

Where on this site is the thread starter button? I never can find it lol, it’s been like 2 years.
Or I will just post the question here, Criterion has a lot of titles and i would like some suggestions of titles to purchase, I own (in Criterion) 2 Humphrey Bogart titles, The Hitchcock titles, the Wes Anderson titles, Tarkovsky titles, written on the wind, Del Toro Titles, Charade, Le Samurai, and I intend to pick up the Before Trilogy. (Not Criterion) King Crab, Mirrormask, Brick, first men in the moon, enemy mine and stuff like that.
PM title suggestions so i don’t take up space here I shall delete this post after a couple of PM’s
I’m mostly looking to blind by some directors or fantastic narratives but don’t wanna waste money buying random sucky films.

I won't send you a PM, I think the main function of a forum is to share with the whole community.

Here a few Criterion titles I dig which I own:
The Fisher King
Happiness
The Long Good Friday
Malcolm X
Paris, Texas
Shallow Grave
La strada

And here a few movies I own and dig too which all have got a Criterion release but of which I own other versions:
Le cercle rouge
C'est arrivé près de chez vous
(Man Bites Dog)
Down by Law
Night on Earth
(Nuovo) Cinema Paradiso
Le samouraï

I own almost all the Classic Hollywood titles and a handful of New Hollywood.

I would recommend the Alan J Pakula titles: Klute and The Parallax View. These two films along with All the President's Men make up his "Paranoia Trilogy." I am hoping that 'Men' makes it to the collection in the future.

As for some other Classic Hollywood titles that have not been mentioned, I would recommend: The Roaring Twenties, Gilda, Leave Her to Heaven, History is Made at Night, Love Affair, The Awful Truth, Bringing Up Baby, It Happened One Night, Summertime, The Lady Eve, The Palm Beach Story, My Man Godfrey, Sullivan's Travels, and Trouble in Paradise.

Really hope that Criterion upgrades more of their WB liscensed titles. Would be great to have Arsenic and Old Lace on 4K.

I'll pose the requisite question: how long does the sale last?

Why the heck is the msrp for seven samurai $10 more than the usual criterion 4k? I remember paying $25 for citizen kane 4k and it probably had more content.

Just a quick pre-order for now with Paper Moon and Seven Samurai.
I'm sure I'll be back for more...

I remember Citizen Kane always being a $60 MSRP just like Seven Samurai. In both cases it's a multiple disc set (3+, not just the 4K+BD discs)
