LOL "my case rests."

Yet you said it didn't have a date, and it does. And that date will have passed. Just like Friday also had an anniversary date and I don;t see the 4K anywhere. Just because WB didn't release it doesn't mean it's with another label, because no other label released it either.

You don't have a "case."

Regarding EWS, I don't mind the artwork, but I do kind of wish they'd included the R-rated cut along with the international cut, or at least a featurette about the versions/aspect ratios/etc. Just for posterity.

Sep 23 is when they celebrate the 40th anniversary, that does not mean there is a 4K release planned for that date.

It's possible no label has PEE WEE, but if WB were releasing it themselves, it likely would've happened by now.

I think the FRIDAYs will eventually come from Arrow or Shout.

Hell's Angels is basically a creaky ass early talkie with A+ set pieces. Cool they're releasing it but not something I'd rush to rewatch.

Yes! Harlow was the star in Libeled Lady. After Hell's Angels and The Public Enemy, She is top billed in most of her films, except maybe the ones with Gable. He was the "King of Hollywood" after all. In The Public Enemy, she's often pictured with Cagney on the movie poster. However, in reality, she's only in part of the film, and she's not even that good, but she's memorable. Harlow is definitely someone whose skill grew with the more experience she gained.

Her best role, imo, is as the titular red-headed woman in "Red-Headed Woman." This film, along with Stanwyck in "Baby Face" is what finally forced Hollywood's hand in actually enforcing the production code. The production code did exist, but in name only, as it was originally created (after a few headline-making scandals) just to appease different religious and conservative groups in the US who were publicly decrying Hollywood's supposed lack of morality. Harlow is also very good in the racy "Red Dust" with Gable and Mary Astor.

Just Eyes Wide Shut for me. Will be keeping the old Blu for the special features that aren't carried over.

One of their best months ever. I'm in for pretty much the entire slate this time.

There it is, folks. Eyes Wide Shut 4K HDR (in widescreen, natch). After all these years of endless wishlisting. If I were a sentimental person, I'd be emotional right now.

The 1930s eyebrows do not do anyone any favors. They look ridiculous, especially when they're big and tall and are practically on the actress' forehead. Claire Dodd is a 1930s star I can think of off the top of my head who had some particularly egregious eyebrows. Of the 1930s actresses who were still making films in the 1940s and beyond, many of them no longer sported the skinny, barely there eyebrows. Some stars, like Lucille Ball and Lana Turner, forever had to draw their eyebrows on because of having to shave/pluck them off for their 1930s films.

I like to think that if Harlow had survived into the 1940s, that she would have toned down her look and ditched the peroxide blonde hair, had fuller eyebrows, etc. She was already starting to tone down her hair towards the end of her life, like in "Wife vs. Secretary." Harlow's last film, "Saratoga" is difficult to watch because it is painfully obvious that she is not well. Her spark and vivacity is all but missing. If dialysis had existed in the 1930s, Jean Harlow might have survived her illness.

Eyes Wide Shut is easily the headliner for me but thrilled to see Burden of Dreams get the upgrade and I’m sure I’ll plunge for the Harlow.

Just EWS for me this month. Nice to occasionally get a title that was on my want-list. I expected LOLITA but was hoping for EWS.
