I can't remember now, is the summer 50% off Criterion sale at B&N usually in June or July?

Not necessarily a prediction, but I would certainly like to see something from this list announced tomorrow:
Heaven Can Wait (1943)
Young Mr. Lincoln (1939)
The Wedding March (1928)
My Man Godfrey (1936)
The Josef von Sternberg silents
Something from Harold Lloyd
Something from Charlie Chaplin (preferably The Circus or the First National shorts)

How about Spun for a Criterion release? Too trashy?

The Woman in the Window would be awesome.

Since an Alex Ross Perry phantom page popped up on Criterion's website, I'm really hoping Listen Up Phillip is the first of his to be added to the collection. I wouldn't mind if all of his films end up in the collection at some point.

M (1951) was just released by Kino, wasn't it?

Wouldn't Arrow hold the NA release rights to Obsession as well or just the UK? I mean, their disc was region ABC after all.

My hopes are that at least one of the following will magically appear. Stop me if you've heard this before.

Le Samouraļ (upgrade)
The Lady Eve (upgrade)
The Pianist (new)
Hamlet (1948) (upgrade)
The Passion of Joan of Arc (upgrade)
Vampyr (hell, who am I kidding. Any Dreyer on blu-ray)(upgrade)
Paper Moon (new)
Libeled Lady (new)

Just one off my want list, and I'm good!

Well, considering that I bought Sixteen Candles relatively recently, that makes it a near sure thing.

Default Announcement Wish: A Matter of Life and Death

I was one of a few members here that voted for A Matter of Life and Death (AMoLaD) in the end of 2016 poll for most wanted new Criterion spine. I'm just wondering which other members out there voted for it.

It would be a nice surprise for AMoLaD to be announced sometime this year. Two other films that would be great to have on Criterion or on any above average blu this year are Roman Holiday and The Philadelphia Story.

Out-of-Print wishes: Bob le Flambeur and Ran. Please give the US licensing rights back to Criterion Studio Canal! I am one of the few oddballs that prefers Bob le Flambeur over Le Samourai. However, I hope that Criterion will offer an upgrade of Le Samourai soon because Ray Jackson and other member here may start flipping tables at Criterion headquarters soon if they don't.

Kino doesn't have M (1951). The only legit release so far is a French PAL, but the French subtitles are burned on the image and can't be removed. I'd like to see Criterion improve on that.

Apologies. I must have mixed it up with another film.
