I would also love that. Although honestly what I would love more is for 4K to make an appearance. Imagine the absolute fan hysteria if Silence of the Lambs was a 4K UHD.

Bought Persona off eBay the other day, and it just arrived in the mail. I’ve never seen it. The few Bergman’s I have seen, I’ve been hot and cold on. Very excited to watch this though.

I've noticed lately that on Amazon, Stray Dog, is temporarily out of stock and near $40. Also noticed that on the Criterion site only backorder is available. Stray Dog would make my day in 2018. It really is one of the best film-noirs IMO.

More films I would love from Criterion in 2018:

The Cameraman(they make the most sense I doubt Warner is ever going to release it)
The Burmese Harp
Roman Holiday(I mean what is the holdup here?)
Brute Force
A Night at the Opera/A Day At the Races(Warner is never going to release them either)
The Testament of Dr. Mabuse
Tokyo Chorus
Shoot the Piano Player(have it on DVD, but would love it on Blu)
The Thief of Baghdad(same as Shoot the Piano Player)
Henry V
I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang

I hope you're right. Being that Isle Of Dogs is released March 23rd and March announcements are tomorrow. (Monday?).

My hopes for This Years Critierion (realistic or not)
Lost in Translation
The Adventures of Prince Achmed
Akira
Perfect Blue
Tokyo Godfathers
Millennium Actress
Paprika
Network
The Passion of Joan of Arc (on blu ray)
Neko Z Alenky
Chungking Express (re-release.......if that's possible I'm not sure about the situation there).
Lon Chaney's the Unknown
Greed
Blackfish
Mi Vida Loca

Basically any Animation in general, yes I know the pickings are slim but......

Also, just curious: anyone know any great Lawrence Olivier Movies. I saw Rebecca and loved his performance and the film so much I want to see more! What's the best film other than that?

I think Passion of Joan of Arc is given for 2018.

It would be nice if Criterion was quiet about it, and since they already had Ringwald on camera for an interview and announced, Pretty in Pink. Would be the release of the year, and the year hasn't even started yet....

Could someone tell me then when are they releasing their blu ray version if they have the rights to it. Further, WHY do they have the rights to that film and not Criterion if they own In the Mood for Love (greatest romantic movie of all time if you haven't seen it btw)

Might’ve been asked before, but do we have a list of Fox titles released by Criterion? I’d like to get a jump start before they potentially go OOP.

Marathon Man, The Boys from Brazil and Bunny Lake is Missing are three of my favorites.

I'm tempted to add That Hamilton Woman but I've only seen bits and pieces over the years and haven't yet watched it all the way through.

StarDestroyer52 is incorrect. Criterion/Janus Films has Chungking Express and most of WKW other films. They most likely are doing a new 4K remaster and that is why Criterion hasn't simply re-issued their OOP Blu-ray.

Due to Miramax, can we expect The Double Life of Veronique to go out of print at some point when the current licence expires?
