This. Also, it's just been confirmed that Altman's Images will be released by Arrow in the UK, so there's another possible Criterion announcement.

User rapta posted this postcard that came with the UK release of The Apartment:

The Apartment was a 4K restoration done by Arrow themselves (exclusive?), so I don't know if this will be the case for Images as well, or it will be a non-exclusive transfer, or if it's a new restoration at all. Also, I don't know who has the rights for Images in the U.S. now.

Lots of great titles on peoples hopeful lists but the one that trumps all of them for me is an announcement of a Godzilla box set and all the other Kaiju movies such as Rodan and War of the Gargantuas. Pretty please Criterion :-)

This is pretty much been all but announced. It has been mentioned on thedigitalbits.com, the Criterion logo was on the titles when they were streamed, and I think there were even some other public announcements of the fact. The only recommendation I would make is to start saving money. It will not be cheap.

I'm shuddering thinking how much it will be but to have these movies fully restored and with bonus content will be a dream come true for me so cost be damned! Food isn't that important is it?

I'll add Sleuth!

I've seen That Hamilton Woman some time ago, and I was bored. I didn't find anything interesting in it.

The first thought I had when I saw this picture was:

Well...now...don't you tell me to smile!
You stick around, I'll make it worth your while!

These three were the original Beastie Boys.

My prediction is that it will be comparable to the Zatoichi boxed set. If memory serves, it started out with a MSRP of 199.99. It can be found in the 90-130 range. However, I would think the demand for this box set will be quite high.

Could Images be coming from TT and not Criterion?

I've never seen Images, but I really like Susannah York. The first time I ever saw her was in Superman-I imagine many around my age were introduced to her by that film. But she's been good in everything I've ever seen her do, no matter the size of the role. I just watched George C. Scott's A Christmas Carol this past weekend, where she plays Bob Cratchit's wife. Add A Man For All Seasons and Battle For Britain to that list.

I'm really looking forward to Criterion's release of Tom Jones, as I've never seen it. I'll grab that and They Shoot Horses, Don't They? at the same time.

She was also pretty easy on the eyes.

Has it actually been confirmed as a UK-exclusive? It seems like the most likely thing would be for Arrow to release it here too.

For 2018, I'm really hoping to see an upgrade for Brute Force, La Strada, Loves of a Blonde, and Il Posto. As for new releases, I can't wait for The Virgin Suicides and whatever Criterion is working on with Alex Ross Perry. I'm also hoping we'll see more Paul Thomas Anderson and Coen Brothers films added to the collection.

No, despite the Miramax logo on the back of the case, I believe the film is licensed from mk2.

Arrow hasn't said anything as of yet. We only know that it is coming because it's included on the postcard that came with the release of The Apartment. I assume it will be announced next time Arrow are announcing their UK releases because the other three movies on the postcard are already released. Then we will know some further details.

Two of the other movies on the postcard are being released by Arrow in both the UK and US. The third one (The Apartment) has only been released in the UK on a restoration transfer done by Arrow themselves. So you could be right that there is some Arrow exclusive theme going on on the postcard.

Nobody, thus 'potentially'. I don't think it's unreasonable to consider the possibility.

Criterion also have a few Touchstone/Distney releases. I know that two Touchstone Wes Anderson movies are released by them and they're not OOP.

I don't see the Disney acquisition effecting any licensing agreements for physical media.
