Take a look at the other teams in MLB like Minnesota, Oakland, etc. Those teams have had farm systems that produced every bit as much talent as the Yankees in that span. The only difference is NY is the only team that can afford to resign their all-stars.

Only in baseball. Not so for any other sport that has a salary cap. The Yankees are the only unusually successful sports franchise in the NYC area. Funny how NY sports fans rarely ever venture to forums other than baseball, which is more of less a 2nd-tier sport these days to football.

Listening to the local ESPN radio station earlier today, they heard from whatever source that Manny Ramirez would only play for the White Sox and no other team? Even if that is true, NO thank you. L.A. can keep him.

It's not just a power problem either. A-Rod is hitting about .240 over the past month. His Avg is down to .264 for the year, the lowest since 1995 for A-Rod.

I'm as shocked as anyone the Rays rebounded like they did. When they fell several games back of NY I thought the Yankees were going to run away with the AL East. Very impressive the way such a young Rays team responded and bounced back agead of NY.

Seems the Yankees are taking the Jays lightly.
The Jays have been playing great ball since the addition of Escobar and continue to lead the league with 167 homers.

Bring out the brooms Jays and sweep away the Yanks tommorow.
