Just ordered my tickets for a Sunday morning showing. My wife even seems excited to see it. Valentine's can't get here soon enough..

heck yeah and if they finished closing out with around 120-140

we'll get a sequel real quick especially with how bad fox has botched their other marvel movies

i would think if they make their budget back on opening weekend (minus advertising obviously), they'll give the sequel the greenlight by monday sometime.

I think a 60 million opening but it falling on its face wouldn't bode well for how quick they'd get one out. But if it just had a steady run ontop of a great opening [which I expect], I think they'll do it relatively quick

IDK......studios have greenlit sequels based on opening weekend #'s before.

either way, it's awesome that this is tracking so well already.......and w/women too!!

my wife is really looking forward to it. i had to break the news to my buddies that i was told i had to take her to see it before i could go w/them.

Technically he has nothing to redeem. He was a great Wade Wilson... and then they made him into that "Deadpool" w/ Scott Adkins playing him. Not Adkins' fault either. Studio was at fault w/ how all that went down. Reynolds was an innocent party and Adkins was just doing his job being a martial arts actor.

Obviously, you know that and I know that... and some other hardcores know that. However, I'd say that the percentage of people that understand this whole situation is very low compared to the percentage of people who watched the film and immediately said, "How could Ryan Reynolds get involved with that monstrosity knowing that they'd ruin Deadpool like that?"

I'm just saying that in the larger perception of the movie-going general public and casual comic book fans, he'll be redeeming himself.

There is an extremely small chance I may get to see this on my birthday IF Cineworlds secret screening (Minimum 15 certificate) turns out to be this instead of some other crap.

Either way, pretty pumped for it. Looks zany and would watch a couple of times.

I always wondered... I know Adkins played silent Deadpool, but was it still Reynolds in the makeup for the close-ups? Because this still looks like Reynolds under all that.

I remember hearing they brought in RR for a half day to shoot close-up pickups. The rest is Scott on the wides/action shots.
