i know next to nothing about the deadpool character

Now Deadpool? Wow, they're starting to grasp for straws it seems. What, in the next decade is EVERY single comic book character going to have their own film?

Deadpool isn't even as significant in the universe as say... Daredevil, Elektra, Ghost Rider, Catwoman... and all those movies stunk it up. Pfft. Getting tired of the comic book movie-thing.

that is exactly what they are doing, especially with the Magneto spinoff and the possible Young X-Men movie that is now being talked about

a lot of people just think this will be a pointless movie and are expressing opinions as such. whenever you post a thread people will either like or dislike the topic, and as you said, the results can be somewhat entertaining

If the film is done in full Rob Liefeld style, I say go for it. It couldn't be any worse than, say, Street Fighter: The Movie, right?

I vote no simply because it means that Rob Liefeld gets more money to eat. He needs to wither and die somewhere.

Deadpool could be a funny, fun action flick though honestly.

+1! i think a flash movie--if done in a similar style as iron man--would rock. a lesser known superhero with a well developed backstory and great action.

exactly, i meant that as well. i've always known the flash to have a cocky/smart-a$$ type attitude (at least in all the cartoon incarnations) and reynolds seems to have that nailed down perfectly

i was originally pumped when i heard reynolds was in talks to play the flash!!! he does have the smart @$$ attitude down, but that also would work in a deadpool movie!!
