Yeah free reign can cause issues. Just look at the avengers movies they want to or everybody for future marketing. I want one or two good xmen characters come to deadpool 2. I would want to see wolverine at least in some areas in the next deadpool plus cable movie.

I think people were applauding the moment you described, not because genius or a hilarious plot twist, but because it was the natural place for the movie to go and people were extremely happy to see that pay off.

Not everything has to subvert expectations in order to be good. Sometime predictable is the way to go because it is the logical progression and because it is what the audience wants to see happen.

This. I don't see how that scene was trying to be a genius plot twist at all. It was giving the audience satisfaction of seeing him take out the bad guy finally.

Its not the same level of difficulty/expense. The next movie is supposed to be a deadpool+ cable story so having wolverine for some scenes shouldn't be too much an issue now that they know deadpool was an box office hit. Sidenote: I have been liking her character in New Girl much more than her movies.

BOTH sides are equally pissy in the Fox/Marvel fight. Marvel is overly aggressive in encroaching on which characters or alien races they can use. Fox is absolutely unyielding in any sort of cooperative venture (at least Sony & Marvel got things done with Spiderman without Sony losing their license). Given how Fox reacted to Bryan Singer doing a Superman film with WB, I suspect their willingness to work with Feige (who was a producer on X1-3 and the two FF4 films as well as some animated stuff before switching over to Marvel Studios) is pretty low.

And, of course, as long as Marvel is owned by Disney, the chances of them doing anything R rated is pretty much nil. Disney just doesn't do R rated films. They tried using a spin off production company for that in the '80s (Touchstone), but since then they've backed off even doing that.

Since Deadpool threw out a few shout outs to Marvel

I suspect the writers of the film and RR probably have no dog in the Fox/Marvel pissing contest and may even wish it wasn't an issue.

Bull s***. The majority of Marvel and even DC comic characters do not need an R rating nor should they have a movie with one. Deadpool is one of those characters were the R rating is the right choice. So no, Marvel Studios don't have any reason to be "pissy" about this movie.
