It would have been a completely different movie if it had been neutered in order to get a PG-13 rating.

I know it was R, but I found Kingsman way more violent.

For example, would Deadpool really have been worse if the girls weren't topless?

In a strip club? Yes, that would be idiotic.

This movie was a hard R from start to finish. I can't begin to understand how you could think this "could have easily PG-13 without losing anything." I'm seriously baffled here.

What I mean is that witty comedy and action do not require "R" to be good.

The titles, arguably one of the best parts of the movie, was G.

Enjoyed the movie but felt a lot of the comedy was forced and in your face. Felt Reynolds and Co. were trying way too hard to be funny instead of letting it flow.

I'm almost positive that the majority (not all) of those who didn't like it have no idea what Deadpool is like and that the changes they want would essentially render it non-Deadpool.

Well, that rating lead to a low budget that allowed Fox to keep their hands off it, so that's one reason why it was necessary. Plus, the only way to do this character is R, because he does get that rude and is that violent.
