Deadpool

If he gets to choose, there's no doubt in my mind that he would choose Deadpool. He took the part in Wolverine just so he could have a chance to play the character, and he was on record before that saying that Deadpool was his favorite comic book character.

I’d hope he chooses deadpool as well…..if he wants to make a cop movie……do the one w/Bradley Cooper.

Attempt at a cash grab?

I thought he was already signed up for R.I.P.D; which would mean it isn't really a choice unless he voids his contract.

Obviously, as a huge fan of Deadpool and a long time promoter of R.R. playing Deadpool I want him to choose R.I.P.D.

He's also on contract to play Wade Wilson in any sequels to Wolverine, I'm sure. They don't go into a movie like Wolverine with plans on spin-offs without locking down the actors for the roles. Dude who played Gambit is probably on contract too... not that a Gambit film is gonna happen.

Yelp. Fox will butcher the crap out of the script. They will make this a PG-13 flick which will ruin it.

Agreed. But maybe if it's made on a small enough budget they'll let it be R...Like Predators and Machete. Because then theres a chance of it making it's budget back and getting the R rating

Holy carp i did not even think of the rating and it's Fox. This movie must be R no question about it. I guess they should do what pj said and make it on a smaller budget.

It worked for Machete and Predators, so let's hope they take the chance with Deadpool as well. It sounds like the script is amazing so I'm really hoping that they take the chance with it and go Rated R on a small budget

Agreed. And it sounds like they can't really make the movie without him. And if they do the whole script will have to be reworked with another actor in mind...And I feel like without Reynolds, this movie won't ever happen.

I agree with what you are all saying. looking at some other recent big movies that were rated R, they should be able to make the movie on a relatively small budget of $40M-$60M and make the profit back easily.

First off, let me say that Cinemablend were not exaggerating when they said that this film could be both Ryan Reynolds' defining role, and a super hero/comic book movie unlike any we have had before.

Very cool. I haven't decided if I even want to read the less spoiled article.

The spoilers aren't too extensive. Most of it can be understood by simply stating "this should be a perfect translation of the character." Most everything that a person might imagine to make a perfect Deadpool film are present. If you're a Deadpool fan, use your imagination, and you'll probably be dead on with everything that the "spoiler-filled" reviews say.

I hope that's what they do, but all of their other comic book films have been PG-13. I wouldn't be surprised if they go with a smaller budget and a PG-13 rating. I really don't see them making this a rated R movie, but I hope they do.

I can see most comic films being PG-13 but this one must be R so i really hope they go with the lower budget and make it R. Making this PG-13 is like Punisher being PG-13 it should not be done.

Exactly, but with all of the comic films they have done, I would be surprised to see them stray from the PG-13 to do a R one. They already know the films, when PG-13, brings in a lot of money and they might see it as a risk to make Deadpool their first one to go beyond that rating, so they will butcher the crap out of it so more people can see it.
