I don't see anything wrong with a little silly humor every once in awhile.

This is coming from me, someone who tends to take life a little too seriously and have had my friends tell me a number of times over the years to lighten up more.

I can enjoy humor like in Deadpool as well as the humor in Wes Anderson films. I can understand your opinion if Deadpool humor is the only type of humor some might like as an adult but I still won't judge people for it.

It was not really a plot hole; it was more like the character had nothing else to say so here's a joke for ya.

Can you even think of a scene that fits what you're talking about?

Not to gang up on you here, because your individual opinion is just fine, but I think your phrasing might be off. I think you're confusing plot holes with what some might consider a thin plot. The story is a revenge/love/origin story. It was focused on the characters over world-building or an elaborate plot, neither of which were needed.

The revenge aspect alone addresses one of your concerns. That's why he faces the same villain in the beginning of the movie and at the end of the movie (which chronologically is the middle and end of the movie, but I digress). I wouldn't hold that as a negative specific to this movie.

The humor definitely isn't for everyone, but crude humor and violence are inherent to the character. It might not be for you, but it isn't stooping low, laziness, or poor writing. It's the opposite, actually. The crew fought hard for years to get the R rating so that they could put those aspects on screen so they could make an accurate depiction of Deadpool.

Um... No? That's a very common expression. Deadpool is referencing the fact that many consider him a B-list character that doesn't deserve his own film. The joke is referring to how some actors or actresses will get a huge role in a film when their talent doesn't deserve it. The expression "who'd they sleep with to get THAT role" is what is being parodied.

I can't believe I just had to explain that.

Easily my favorite comic-book movie since Dredd, but I hoping this would be in the movie in some form

They weren't fighting for it to be accepted; they were just waiting for people to get dumber in order to get them to be receptive to that kind of humour; 12 years sealed the deal on audiences... and here we are number 1 at the box office.
The executives that had some kind of dignity to refrain from releasing that kind of movie, sold out for the mighty dollar.

Don't engage... don't engage... don't... ah hell.

If that was true they wouldn't need to wait. Mainstream dick humor was big back in the 90s, as was Deadpool. They had to fight the studio to get the movie made the way it was made. Studios prefer PG-13 because that means exposure to a wider audience. R movies typically don't pull much money, especially ones as risky as this. The studio didn't have much confidence going in. They only got that once they saw the finished product and saw it was tracking well.

This is the truth right here.

I've seen far too many people over the years so quick to call something a plot hole, when the majority of the time it was on their dumb asses for not paying attention to the movie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens brought out so many of those people that my forehead still hurts from all the palming.

Ok, so you're telling me that at first it was supposed to be rate PG-13 which means that they would had to cut-off nudity, sex jokes, and gory scenes; instead, they "fought" for it to be extra-trashy, over-sexual, and extremely violent in order for it to be rated R. In order to make a good movie, I prefer subtle over in-your-face-kind-of-movie. Plus, whatever they will do, they would be not be able to accurately portray a Marvel fictional character so might as well keep it descent for people to see than try-hard to make a movie that shocks the audience in a negative way. I'm not saying for them to go the Disney route (making the character all polite and heroic-ish) but to cut some jokes here and there would make the movie less of a try-hard to be funny in the most indecent way kind of a movie.

Seriously why did you bother going if you don't like that kind of humour? Just so you could go on the internet and bait people for the next week. We get it you didn't like the humour. You only need to say it once, then move on.

Then don't watch Deadpool. You are trying to make Deadpool someone he is not. People like him because of the way he is, annoying, full of jokes, and isn't subtle.
