Yeah, that was kind of off-putting. But it means more money for them, so I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to release it that way (Rogue Cut style).

I've yet to watch the Rogue Cut. I thought DOFP was slightly better than average and didn't see the need to watch an extended cut of it. Is the RC an improvement or should I not bother to waste my time?

It's pretty cool, to be honest. It doesn't add that much, but it is a slight improvement over the original cut, in my opinion.

I don't know if anyone posted this but deadpool had made money than man of steel in the United States, quite an achievement considering MoS had a mega team behind it and a quarter of a billion dollar budget.

Brianna Hildebrand is definitely very pretty, especially with long hair IMO (even though it's a wig in this pic). NTW certainly had the goth vibe going on which I'm sure appeals to some people. She absolutely nailed the disinterested teenager attitude though.

All this time I was waiting for someone to call me out on this. You win the prize!

okay, well, basically, I'm talking about sex and violence in relation to how kids are exposed to it and influenced by it through movies. At the risk of opening up a topic here on these boards that I think most of us really don't want to get into, especially with the level of immaturity I've seen in this particular thread, I will just say that as a parent, I think violence comes with the territory of superhero action, and gore can even be humorous if done stylishly enough. Some people may overly glorify it, but with the proper guidance and discussion, it can be appreciated as an artform without having to worry about our kids growing up to be serial killers...

While sex, on the other hand, I feel can be wrongly impressionable on a kid at a young age. Where children may know the difference between a boy and a girl, even familiar with those gender differences anatomically, they still don't (or at least, shouldn't) know the applications and mechanics of sex without understanding everything that goes along with it, like romance, relationships, intercourse for the sake of pleasure and/or procreation, etc. It's just something that if a child at a young age is exposed to too heavily, especially in a crude or vulgar manner, may leave the wrong impression on them about sex and may cause confusion or a disrespectful or misguided approach to exploring it. I think there's a big difference between seeing nudity or watching people kissing than there is to seeing someone simulating masturbation or getting pegged.

As a parent, we make the hard decisions about what our kids should be exposed to and hopefully we can steer them through understanding it, at least until the time comes that they are old enough to explore and understand it on their own. Sex and violence goes hand in hand for what is deemed inappropriate for children, but we as parents have to create our own guidelines and criteria for when and how our kids are exposed to it, or at least how much. The ratings system is just there to help us in doing so. So if I say as a parent it's easier to watch a scene with my kid where a guy gets his head blown off, rather than seeing a guy getting blown, or even characters talking about it, then I think it should be understandable.

Depends on how old you are i guess, the actress playing Negasonic is 20, and wa-ay too young for an old guy like myself (i was born in 1960) but Morena Baccarin with the short hair? Damn straight that brazilian goddess is hot!

Deadpool on its way to becoming the highest grossing R rated film ever....also spanking a bunch of higher budgeted films based on Marvel characters. At the end of its domestic run, Deadpool would have bested all other Marvel based films but the awefull Iron Man 3, The Avengers and The Avengers 2 .

CONS:

[Show spoiler]1.) I understand why Singer made the intercut change with Magneto to reflect his past and future self, but Magneto getting his helmet back was a well done scene and works so much better being done in one sequence. It was my main gripe with the Rogue cut.

2.) Rogue didn't have as much screen time as I thought she would so them editing her out to begin with was unnecessary, BUT her addition is important to the storyline since her being captured and experimented on explains why the Sentinels are unstoppable with her absorbing powers being used by them.

3.) I prefer Iceman's death in the previous version.

Ironically while this film had more flaws, I liked it better than the theatrical version.

I think it can hit that mark. Just under $27,000,000 to go worldwide, and it still made ~16,400,000 this weekend. If it makes 8 million next weekend, then 4 the following weekend, with 2 the next weekend beyond that, that's 14 million there, leaving only 13 million for the rest of the world to pick up in the next three weeks.

Keep in mind that this weekend there's basically nothing compelling coming out (compelling in the sense of selling bookoo tickets), and the following weekend there's only Divergent: Allegiant to compete with. I think Deadpool has a great chance at $700 million, possibly $710, depending on foreign ticket sales.
