Let's be clear here-- Deadpool was absolutely NOT in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The character that Ryan Reynolds plays in the film was Wade Wilson who gets turned into Weapon XI.

The implication was that he was going to become Deadpool after those events-- his body was all messed up, he had Wolverine's healing factor, and the easter-egg ending showed that his mouth had been unstitched.

Not that I'm defending the movie-- it was horrible and haphazardly threw in characters like that just for the sake of it (like Gambit as well). But technically they could have made a Deadpool movie following that film that still would have worked. But its for the best they just dumped that whole movie and pretended it never happened.

I wasn't on the bridge, so you wouldn't have seen me. I was... well... let's just say that I was at an elevated location and had access to some binoculars.

And, unfortunately, I only had time to check out the scene for about 2 minutes.

Wasn't the delay in getting Deadpool moving due to FOX wanting a PG-13 script?

Old news, but Deadpool fans, have you seen Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity? Despite how the movie turned out, I'll guess it'll be a good primer to watch his character's (Hannibal King) jokes there to get a sense of his antics in Deadpool. He pretty much spits out one liners every other sentence.

Hopefully the R rating sticks. Maybe they can add some gore effects of Deadpool and his handiwork if they haven't yet, just in case the R is for mostly language.

Tim Miller has worked on stuff like Scott Pilgrim and The Girl with Dragon Tattoo along with some creative adverts making him hopefully ideal for tackling the larger than life action scene along with the self-reflective parts of the genre, everyone has to start from somewhere. As for the writers. I think this has been drafted numerous times, by people behind Scott Pilgrim and Tropic Thunder, but the Writers Guild always has bizarre rules as to who can be credited.
