And add the fact that Deadpool has a budget around 50mil, makes the box office intake not as worrisome compared to Watchmen, if Deadpool makes 200mil, that's sequel greenlight money, compared to Watchmen, which would still not be double it's budget if it had made that much.

Bingo. If Deadpool makes $200M worldwide that will count as a great success given how little they've spent on it.

I've been reading conflicting -- or at least, unclear -- reports about whether or not this Deadpool is in continuity with the Fox's X-Universe, specifically X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I was hoping that some questions about it would be asked and answered at the panel.

Now, I know some people want to forget about the whole X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie and pretend it never existed, but Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool was, even if not how he should have been depicted, in that movie, and it does show him as part of the Weapon X program.

So, did that still happen prior to this Deadpool movie?

When they say that Ajax gives him his abilities in this movie, is that after what Stryker's Weapon X program did to him? Could it be that maybe Ajax was part of Weapon X and they recovered the beheaded, but very much still alive, Deadpool and tried to fix him up and turn him more into what we finally see in this movie? OR are they retconning all that and saying that Deadppol was never like he was shown in X-Men Origins: Wolverine?


Any thoughts? If anyone can shed light on this, please do. Thanks.

I'll bet anything they make reference to it with Deadpool making a joke about it. My guess would be in the beginning during a breaking the fourth wall moment. Otherwise they will pretend it doesn't exist.
