All he really did in DoFP was get smacked around and look worried, really wanted to see him beat the tar out of a couple Sentinels.

Yeah, he got his head caved in after ten seconds and that was pretty much it for him. They also took the Kitty/Colossus romance from the comics and gave that to Kitty/Bobby (starting with The Last Stand) instead, further reducing any importance he could have had. He had a cool moment in X2, but again, basically just a cameo.

Deadpool should offer the most screentime for Colossus yet.

Can't tell you how glad I am that they're using him as a good guy. Pretty sure the reason I stopped reading Uncanny X-Men was they had Colossus join the Brotherhood and de-powered Logan.

That time he joined the Acolytes he had a good enough reason, at least. But he's always been a good guy.

And yeah, that "feral" Wolverine era where he lost his powers and wore a bandana around his face and had the bone claws and... ugh. The 90s.

Fox could have at least given Colossus a bigger role in The Last Stand and let him fight Juggernaut... but nooo...

I LIKE X3 for what it wanted to be and still think it's an average movie but what might have been if someone who actually understood mutants had made the movie.

This looks like one hell of a violent film. After movies like "the Raid" and "Judge Dredd" performed well, I guess some execs decided to green light Deadpool with a no holds barred film.

Crazy.

I'm still pumped as hell for this movie, but I really wasn't feeling the trailer. Felt like it was trying way too hard when it should feel like they aren't trying at all.

Trailer looked great. At least Marvel was able to bring something interesting to the table at a DC dominated SDCC this year.

Yes of course only domestic takings count for an Australian movie partly shot in South Africa?

How is it "family fun" when it's rated R?

Families can consist of all "old enough to watch R-rated films" human beings.

I was watching R-rated films a the age of 9. My parents raised me to have discussions about adult themes at a young age. Film was a grea medium to provide a foundation for said discussions.

I grew up around nakedness and killing a chicken for dinner. Or going out and shooting some squirrels(at my grandparents).

My GF and I were together in 8th(her) and 9th. My mother only asked one thing...(we met in a group for "children of suicide"...that my mother made me attend. So...not all 15yo are created equally...)

Don't do "that" till she has a driver's license...(ironically, my GF told my mother "she wasn't ready for that" and it wouldn't happen till I was 18. But...we had, uhm, numerous other outlets...which, my mother didn't have her head in the sand over.)

We've been together(openly...) 30 years...

US rated R is a joke.

Dredd was terrible and hardly that violet he's confused... I think it was like 60 million to make and made 30ish inside the usa and 60 or 70 outside of the US. So international market saved ti, still came out positive, but yeah it was a flop and terrible movie.

Think he's referring to Dredd, not Judge Dredd.

Yeah, I don't get where he got that it was a success, but it is a recent film and it was mentioned in the same sentence as The Raid, which is a structurally and thematically very similar film.
