(Unless, I suppose, they find a way to play it off like he is crazy and basically talking to an imaginary audience in his head.)
Breaking the fourth wall doesn't take it out of the X-verse, it just means Deadpool knows he's in a movie. No other characters will know it. It changes nothing.

It just means the tone of this one is different from the others.

I really don't see how the difference in appearance between the two versions of Colossus has anything to do with a difference in tone between Deadpool and the other X-Men films.

That's like saying there's a difference in tone between The Last Stand and First Class/DoFP, just because Beast looks different.

Or that there's a difference in tone between the first X-Men film and XO: Wolverine, because Sabretooth looks different.

Or, best of all, there's a difference in tone between The Last Stand and DoFP, because Trask l̶o̶o̶k̶s̶ is different.

Chalk up the inconsistencies in character appearances as continuity errors or artistic license, but regardless, the tone of the films still remain the same.

That is probably the most authentic straight from the comic looking Colossus yet but there is nothing wrong with Daniel Cudmore's portrayal.

Agreed. They both most definitely look like Colossus. But the version of Deadpool is just a little closer to the actual comic book look of Colossus.

I liked the look of Cudmore's version; and he's a big guy to begin with. But this one seems to be the 7ft 2in version...a monster of a man.

I've never really liked how they made Colossus look in the X-Men films. I accepted it -- it's okay -- but just too much like the T-1000 or Silver Surfer. He should look like solid steel not liquid mercury. I'm glad to see they're improving upon it.

Cudmore was fine, but he was too small to be Colossus. Even the Deadpool version, which is a little closer, still seems small compared to the comics - which I know, sometimes, is exaggerated to impossible standards, but they still could have found a bigger dude.

Lots of actors dont want to play cgi characters. So I understand why he declined.

RUMOR: Fox May Be Considering Swapping FANTASTIC FOUR 2 With A DEADPOOL Sequel

Take this news with a huge grain of salt, but The Daily Superhero is reporting that 20th Century Fox may be fast-tracking a sequel to Tim Miller's Deadpool, which stars Ryan Reynolds, and if that wasn't enough, they also suggest that there have been internal discussions regarding possibly swapping out the Fantastic Four sequel, which is already set for a June 9, 2017 release date, with a sequel to Deadpool, a yet-to-be released project they are reportedly very happy with.

It should be reiterated that this is an unconfirmed rumor, but if true, according to Empire & Birth.Movies.Death., a potential Deadpool sequel will more than likely incorporate Cable. Also, if true, this would also mean production on a Deadpool sequel would have to begin not long after its February 12, 2016 release date in order to meet the potential 2017 sequel date.

What do you think about a potentially fast-tracked Deadpool sequel? Who would you like to see play Cable? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Quote:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

"Deadpool" is still connected to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". That's HOW:

It's 100% the same character, the same guy. X-MEN ORIGINS is still part of the canon of Timeline Prime, the one not altered by the events of DOFP (early 1973).

As you already know, the timeline has been altered, but we're dealing with the same Wade Wilson. His background past prior to 1973 (DOFP) is supposed to be exactly the same as before. His original mutant powers (super reflexes and precision that he uses while fighting with blades/swords) are still in there.

He was never part of the TEAM X William Stryker assembled in late 1973, the squad Logan quitted in 1975, two years later. This means in 1981 he was never turned into WEAPON XI/"THE DEAD POOL" (optical blast, teleport ability, regenerative factor, adamantium blades/skeleton, brainwashed cyborg brain, stitched mouth).

About his age, in the X-Men cinematic universe mutants - all mutants - age slower and better than humans. Not on the level of Wolverine and Mystique, of course.

That's it. Read my site about the fixed continuity:

I dunno why but I chuckle when someone says to go to their website to find something out. When they're right here already.
