looks like the main villain will be AJAX
for reference . Check out Deadpool Vol 1 issues 16-19 and the Deadpool Death annual ... most of this is what the film looks to be based around

Wouldn't Negasonic Teenage Warhead texting be a pretty big anachronism then? Not that this movie has to follow any rules about anything whatsoever.

Then that settles it. It takes place in present time.

I hope that let's the Timeline Lord stay in his slumber

Agreed. I don't know what I was thinking continuing that conversation.

Probably. There are snippets of other set pieces, like that corridor scene and then DP sitting in what looks like a locker room with bodies all around him as he cocks his gun. So, I'm hoping they're keeping the rest for the film. During filming it seemed like the only leaked images were of the bridge scene, so that being the most prominent in the trailers could either work in the favor of preserving surprises for the film's release, or showing us too much. We'll have to wait and see. Frankly, I'm still too surprised and happy that the film is even happening to be worried about spoiling its only set piece, if it is the only one.

Yeah. They filmed Deadpool in Vancouver and there were constantly crowds of people standing on the bridge opposite where they were filming. There are actually 2 viaducts side-by-side which are relatively close to one another. It was literally the ONLY time that ANY of the filming was exposed to the public. So, it does make sense that they use that material as the majority or the promotional goodies.

I did come across 2 other locations in my travels where they were filming. However, they were closed indoor sets. One was a very old warehouse/industrial workshop type of building that got demolished shortly after filming (maybe even DURING filming??? ) I can't wait to see if I can pinpoint which scenes were filmed there.

Why do people accept Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? That's not what Deadpool sounds like.
