I hope they don't change the fanfare, it's even on the soundtrack LPs and CDs. I'm sure people would be annoyed if they did. The FOX fanfare is too ingrained to change.

Nope, it's all guess work.
We do not know the particulars of any deal, nor if there was a deal at all.
Wait and see

Blinking Ewok, magical rocks, Jedi Rocks, Hayden force ghost, now you see them now you don't windows, penis head Sarlac Pitt, Jabba that looks like a four year old with a box of crayonds created it and "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" is fine but changing the Fox Fanfare to the Disney logo and people are ready to grab their pitchforks and torches and charge Disney headquarters.

The Fanfare will be replaced in all films from now on just wait till they announce UOT blu this month...everything will change...and then people will say:

Kennedy that B**** she raped my childhood worse than Lucas did.

So wait Fox owns distribution rights...they won't allow the UOT on blu...BUT they will allow the special editions to be released via VUDU?

And are these VUDU releases what we got on the blu-ray??

No No, i'm still waiting...and hoping, and hoping, and hoping.

What meant was that if Disney goes in and changes the fanfare for the UOT and/or PT then World War III will happen.

And here we go......again. Sarcasm. Some people clearly struggle with it. I think I will stop using it.

I could see Disney working out a similar deal as the one they worked out with Paramount for Marvel. "Okay, we'll keep your name at the front, but we're going to handle everything else." And, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Paramount logo still on the Disney reissues of the Marvel movies? It's not an impossible scenario.

Or maybe Fox and Disney worked out some sort of profit sharing agreement for Episode IV in exchange for Disney having greater control of the distribution arrangement of the original trilogy.

The possibilities are endless. And it's in everyone's best interest for Fox and Disney to play together nicely. Nothing is to be gained by Fox just sitting on the distribution rights to IV in perpetuity since MUCH more money could be made by both companies if a "complete saga" release strategy is implemented instead of just random releases whenever the individual companies want to.

As with many things surrounding Star Wars currently, someone jumped the gun on the announcement and the page has now been removed.

Kudos to vudu though, everyone will now go there first to look.

At least with the orange blob, you could explain it away as the speeder starting to short out or something, but how the hell do you explain why the bottom of the speeder disappeared?
Which shot was that? IIRC there was a shot in the original which was behind some rocks which they actually raised up digitally for the SE, and as for the tracking shot in Mos Eisley which actually had the "Vaseline blob", that was cleaned up without cropping anything. What they then did was add that bloody great big Ronto in front of it.

You missed the part about home video rights for all of the films until May 2020. Clearly not how they are being shown on vudu.

Perfectly chilled, perfectly willing to wait, just making some observations instead of attacks as is the norm in here.
