noun
noun: apologist; plural noun: apologists

a person who offers an argument in defense of something controversial.
"an enthusiastic apologist for fascism in the 1920s"
synonyms: defender, supporter, upholder, advocate, proponent, exponent, propagandist, champion, campaigner; informal: cheerleader
"one of Eisenhower's better-known apologists"

So yes, Arawn and his ilk would certainly qualify as such when it comes to the Prequels and post-1983 Lucas in general.

Hey, so is it true that Fox owns the original Star Wars?

In the original script Padme died of ass cancer but every time the robot said it Ewan McGregor couldn't keep a straight face.

She died of laughter at looking at Ewan's crab infested pubestache.

I'm actually curious to see what the hate will be for the next three films.
I suspect if none can be found it will be grandfathered back to Lucas.

Again, my point is that there are folks like me who will defend Lucas the man whole-heartedly and still acknowledge the problems- I'll defend the creation in general and still say Han was the only one who shot. So the term doesn't apply to me. Rather than say the use of the word was incorrect, though, I should say the use of the word is an overly simplified (and in some cases 'lazy') catch-all to explain something that can't be neatly categorized as black and white.

For example, if I coin a new phrase like Lucas 'fat-jokers,' it wouldn't apply to everyone who dislikes the prequels and would only irritate the folks who consider themselves to have a legitimate gripe. Rather, I'll say we should all take ourselves less seriously. While posting in a Star Wars thread. On Blu-ray.com.

When Palpatine says "She's dead, Jim ..." Anakin releases the Force Zombie life energy he was using to keep her upright and factory fresh and the Zombie Padme pegs it.

I thought that was all in the movie?

People apparently age quickly on Tatooine. (I hope that this doesn't sound mean. Uncle Owen aged pretty darn quickly as well, seeing as how Luke was only a couple decades older in A New Hope, but the aunt and uncle both look about 40 years older.)

Padme didn't die, she's Kylo Ren! We're going to have a "No Luke, I am you Mother!" moment in the new flicks.

You could chalk it up to the dry climate, long hours in the sun, and hard work though.

Even if they're as mediocre as the Prequels were, even if they're worse, it won't get anywhere near the amount of hate the Prequels did... by virtue of the quality of the films that preceded the Prequels compared to the quality of the Prequels themselves. The Prequels were coming off of 3 movies that were considered absolute classics, pop culture phenomena, so people were shocked when the Prequels weren't very good. The new films are coming off the Prequels, I think the general feeling is "It can't get any worse."
When an NFL team suddenly goes from 14-2 to 3-13 people get really upset.

The OT ones are $14.96ish at B&N, if you apply the 30% off coupon code it goes down to about $11 each - if you can find something else to get for a few bucks you'll bring the cart to $35 get free shipping.

EDIT: Just realized that 30% off code is for single items, so each Steel needs to be its own order. Then with the shipping they come out to roughly the same $15 price they already are. I guess if you just want one of em and there's some other stuff you can order to get free shipping, it's a good deal.

... that's why you should always have a droid that can speak binary language of moisture vaporators so you know you aren't running at excess capacity and causing your own dehydration. That and the UV from two suns, and a four pack a day habit of death sticks.
