Listed as Like New (which I NEVER buy (), he seemed to imply that the shrink-wrap was intact. Well, except for the complete opening on the side to take out all the discs.
I was ready for a fight myself recently after I stupidly ordered the Complete Saga for $31.50. Thought I found a great deal as the UPC matched the US set and the Seller had all positive feedback. So I went ahead and violated personal rule #1 for buying on Ebay. If something is too good to be true, then it usually is or you get what you pay for. So as soon as I hit buy-it-now, the brain kicked in and I started worrying and looked around. Discovered the number one thing to Bootleg in movies on Ebay is Star Wars The Complete Saga, especially the Vader standard case set which is what I ordered. To my surprise, when I received it, it was actually the UK Release and not a Bootleg. Don't love the Logo's but given the price I can live with it just fine. So dodged a bullet on that one. Moral of this story, if anyone really wants this set, buy it any place but on Ebay, except from me of course. FYE occasionally has used copies of this at a good price if you can combine it with a sale.

I learned years ago to stay away from anything Disney on ebay or amazon. Disney titles always seem to be the most widely bootlegged of anything, and it's not even only OOP titles but even new stuff that is currently in retail. Years ago I received a bootleg DVD copy of Ratatouille from a 3rd party seller on amazon during the month of the film's initial home video release, which is why it never even occurred to me until much later that it was fake until I noticed it was missing a DMR code and I compared it to someone else's copy.

Also, I have seen many other Disney bootlegs in other people's collections who's owners were totally oblivious. Most of them look high quality enough that the average person wouldn't even notice. I've seen so many of them now that they are easily spotted. I now only ever buy Disney stuff from first hand retail or in the case of certain OOP titles only if I see them being sold used in a physical store where I can verify their authenticity.

Was this just recently? If so, I wrote that guy and confirmed it was UK (‘cause it said something else). Anyway, the guy I communicated with added that it was a UK set to his description after our emails. He was a nice guy, I shoulda bought from him. Instead, I’m coming up on a case fight judgment.

I’m pretty sure all of my Disney titles are legitimate - first thing I check is the code. However, if you’re ever in Texas, come on by and verify!

I've got a couple Disney DVDs that might look fake, but they're just Japanese. The clear cases they used got yellow and make the paper look fuzzy.

It was this guy and about a month ago... emailed with my concerns right after auction and he assured me it was a legit copy. He didn't offer up it was a UK release however. OK with it though. Much luck getting your issue resolved, I think you'll be fine though.

Yeah, different guy. The fella I meant was selling a UK Anakin DigiBook, which is what I was looking for at the time (US, if possible). If I get out from under this mess and were to try again, I think I'd settle for the new black Darth Vader set. It's a 9-disc set as well and I think it has the same content.

When it comes to eBay, I'll only buy something if the seller has an actual picture of the item with their listing (seriously, I know sometimes getting a good picture can be annoying, but come on).

As for Disney titles, I'll buy sealed ones because you can always check if it's legit if the Disney Movie Rewards code works.

There are a lot of people on YouTube who hate the idea of Star Wars Forces of Destiny, just because it focuses on women. Do they think their masculinity is being threatened or something?

I doubt this is real, but I would wet my pants if they released the originals in 4K (Hell, I'd take 1080p!), and they used similar packaging from the 1993 Laserdisc release!

Who is Dave Folina? Never heard of him.

I see. The cartoon. At first I thought he was some random country singer.
