Quite honestly i'm getting a little sick and tired of the constant discussion about the lack of the originals being included. It's not happening because:

George Lucas said the originals cuts were NOT being included in this bluray set. The words came out of his mouth at the last Celebration event. ITS NOT HAPPENING because GEORGE LUCAS SAID DO.....

To keep this set economical there will be only the latest version of the Trilogy as seamless branching is impossible as previously stated. Otherwise the films have to be transferred for up to 3 versions....how many discs would that be? How much would that set cost?

Sorry forget it.

Seriously speaking though, why nobody is worried about the films transfers is beyond me. I'm worried about DNR & edge enhancement as it would completely ruin these films for me. I hope the films look and sound great. That's what is important to me....Regardless of what versions we would receive; if the transfer is not perfect - Nobody will be happy.....

Just my two cents...

I hope it is just something classy like Anniversary or Collector's Edition something simple. Tacky stuff that most comedies use is just annoying and ruins cover art/ box art work.

Also nothing wrong with including all versions of the films, esp when you give more choices the fans are happier and they are more prone to watching each version more so.

I want a big plastic Death Star that lights up that all the discs fit in. Suck it, Alien Egg.

Because the DVD's looked great minus the crushed Blacks which might have been an issue with DVD itself. It is the sound mixes I am worried about.

That and the original negatives were all but destroyed in making the SEs so in order for them to release the original cuts, there would be a lot of work and money involved.

It was the Vader's pink lightsaber I'm hoping to be fixed, as well as the other colour problems.

That is way too early, you have to wait for the first few screen shots are made available on the Internet and the screen shot expert will over analyze, complaint and say there is TONS of DNR and that it's the worst Blu-ray release ever....and I won't even mention the sound side of thing

I dunno. How much did Blade Runner cost?
Each Star Wars film (OT) would need 2 blu-ray discs AT MOST. Even with those, you'd be able to fit bonus material on each disc as well.
That's not even a factor.

God..... I don't look forward to that. I am sure the Screen Shot Experts will be out in force if there is a Blu-Ray trailer.

Star Wars is not Blade Runner. So it doesn't really matter.

I will be tuning into G4 shortly before the announcement is scheduled, so right after I get my lunch up here to eat. Will let you guys know, assuming I'm the first one to find out.

Yes that too, I think they'll fix those certain colour timimng issues, but expect Hoth to still be Blue. . I want all the sabers redone on the new releases.

I hope they fix various color problems, including sabers most notably in EP4 when Luke is training and the saber is green? Also in EP6 Luke vs Vader, pink saber is horrible....

I hope they fix the Matte boxes that surround the Tie Fighters.....

I hope they fix the sound and mix a new DTS Master HD track.....
