I have a feeling there will be exclusives like that, remember they did it with Alien Anthology.

1) Fix the lightsaber colors from the 2004 releases. This is especially evident in both ANH and ROTJ (less so in ESB). Instead of a white core with a colored glow, the saber looks shaded, resulting in a bizarre "blended" appearance. Luke's in ANH keeps switching colors on the Falcon scene (from green, to white, then to blue), and both his and Vader's in ROTJ are terrible. Luke's looks like a crushed lime-green, and Vader's often looks pink!

2) Either have Han shoot first in ANH with Greedo, or make the shift of Han's position a lot more convincing, 'cause it just ain't...period.

3) Include Luke's first run at the Death Star trench in ANH, or edit Biggs' line that says, "They're coming in much faster this time".

4) Keep Obi-Wan's ghost form consistent in ESB and ROTJ. In the former, he shows up on Hoth as a blue ghost, and then on Dagobah he's in full color with a white glow around him. The same thing happens in ROTJ.

5) Make the Emperor's lightning in ROTJ match closer with his attack on Mace in ROTS.

I very much agree with 1 and 2. The lightsaber colors need to be corrected, and I think they should just redo those effects entirely, especially for ANH. The lightsaber blades aren't as straight of a line as they are in the PT (and tend to have 'blobby' edges). Frankly this has stood out to me more so than any other older effect that they already "redid" in the past updates... I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.

And I agree about Han and the Greedo seen. At this point, it's not so much "who shoots first" that bothers me (though I would prefer it to be Han), but that stupid twitch that Han does when he dodges the shot just looks bad. And the whole thing happens so quickly that it just looks more like a big editing mistake, even though it isn't.

I also think the seen with Jabba in ANH could use some additional tweeking. I know supposedly in the 2004 DVD release it is the Jabba CG model from Phantom Menace being used (and I really liked the way that he looked in TPM), but something about it still seems 'off' about it. Sure, it was a big improvement over the way he looked in the 1997 release, but something doesn't seem right. I think it may be, at least in part, his coloring. He just looks too dark. I have a feeling (and this is pure speculation on my part) that they dropped the newer CG Jabba into that scene before they "corrected" the color timing on it for the 2004 release, hence why his coloring seems so dark.

And that actually brings me to my final point, I hope that they correct the color timing issues and sound issues from the 2004 release of the OT. Which I don't so much consider this a 'change' in the same way that adding new special effects is a change, but rather correcting terrible errors that never should have happened in the first place.

As for points 3-5, I don't really see any of that being necessary to change or tweek.

That would be cool as a limited edition collectible option.

I just hope that the 'regular' version of the Saga set has the movies each in their own normal-sized Blu-Ray case. And it should either come in a slip box (similar to something like what the Shrek movies or the Spiderman Trilogy come in, only sized for the amount of cases needed for the set), so that it is open on one side, so the cases can be seen. Or, it can be done in a similar manner as the 2004 OT DVD release or the X-Men Trilogy on Blu-Ray, where there is kind of an outer box and an inner box.

What's great about that is that it's very easy to just put the outer box on the opposite side to allow the individual cases to still be viewable if that is your preference (which it is in my case).

I will be ok with just the release that are now announce. I am never much of a fan of those special packaging for movies so I prefer avoiding them. I am happy with a simple ordinary case with the disc inside. So even for Star Wars I won't bother getting a special package if they release one

I´d much prefer a simple but nicely done set over those special packagings that fit in no Blu-Ray shelf also. I´d be very happy to see the Drew Struzan Poster art finally on the Blu-Ray packaging... his art has always been associated with Star Wars. Maybe we´ll see all new Posters drawn by Drew for the Blu-Rays or 3D rerelease.

Considering how good he was at plotting, given his rise to power and manipulation of everyone in the Prequels and even his OT plots, that was one of his first real mistakes. Since torturing Luke instead of killing him immediately gave Vader the necessary time to decide whether or not to turn on Palpy.
Personally I don't think it happened that way. It seems to me that Palpatine had complete control over Vader's will. And with Vader being a formidable individual with a great deal of the force within him, Palaptine had to use much of his power to retain control of Vader. Luke defeated Palpatine not by force but by resistance. It took too much of Palpatine's power to overcome Luke and Palpatine didn't have to have enough to kill Luke and retain control of Vader. Vader then had free will and chose to save his son.

Also remember that Vader did not go head on towards the emperor. he picked him up from behind cause i believe that is really the emperor's weakness. if you go a full frontal attack than he will hit you with lightning.

I don´t know why so many people want to see a copy of Han Solo in the Prequels... he´s a funny character but his place is taken by Obi Wan Kenobi.
I hate the notion that the Saga is Anakins Story, it feels like Lucas Propaganda. What huge story arc does Darth Vader have in the original Trilogy? He's a background character. He looks left and right a bit then picks the Emperor up and throws him down a reactor shaft, there's no real sense that he's going through these conflicted emotion through Episode IV thru VI. I can live with a Skywalker Saga but Anakin's Story no chance.

To me Sam was the most interesting character in LOTR, while Frodo failed and was consumed to some degree by the Ring I felt Sam had the greatest strength of all the characters. He would have never have been tempted by the Ring becasue he was so resolute and steadfast. His only desire was to help his friend and go home.

I didn' want a Han Solo character in the PT just one which questioned the universe he was in, we the audience didn't really have an identifying charcacter to route for unless you count Jar-Jar. "Whatsa hellis goingins on? Messa don't get it...."

Sounds good to me. I am not too fond of the Avatar SE packaging. It's much too glossy. I don't know what kind of packaging the Alien Anthology has, but I think it's similar.

I, like you, would like an outer box that contains all the movies in individual cases, and you can choose the face you want to be seen as described in your post above. (Yes, we actually agree on sth. for a change. Lol).

Wither way, there is going be lots of b%tching around, and many will be disappointed, because they have very strong visions of their own how these should be done.....

I hope I will be able to live with the choices they are going to make.

I am not too anal about these sort of things.
What matters to me are the movies.
A box like Seven Samurai does look very classy though.

That is not correct.

That was a leftover line from the script that they left in where Luke missed the exhaust port on his first try. So Biggs was referring to that one not Red Leader's. It was apperantly Marcia Lucas's decision regarding that edit.

It would be great to have some kind of Fact-track on the Blu-rays with links to deleted scenes, pre-visualizations, early SFX etc. I really hope the sets push the boundaries to what Blu-ray has to offer.

Lucas has been known to push the boundaries so, no worries.

I have never seen anything to indicate that the Emperor controls Vader that way. Hell, he killed his own men on Kashyyyk and trained a young Jedi for years all without Palps knowing.
