Yes, absolutely, Lucas has changed his mind for the first time in almost 15 years and is going to release the unaltered original trilogy on BD, very shortly after hell freezes over and satan is seen ice skating to work.

One of the things I want to know the most is if sound track will be DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD. We all know the connection between Lucas and Dolby Labs. so I wouldn't be surprised if Dolby codec is used instead DTS even though Fox is a DTS supporting studio.

Me, I found myself remembering it from a Danger Mouse episode, so it's in good standing as bad-pun pedigrees go.
Kind of ruins it when even Lucas now "legitimizes" it as their joke, though.

That's a good point yes Fox does support DTS HD Master Audio but I have to think based on LFL recent history with Dolby Labs it will be Dolby True HD and not DTS HD Master Audio.

I really hope DTS codec is used instead of Dolby's.

I am excited about pretty much everything, at least in the PT.

Not going to happen. So no sense setting yourself up for disappointment.

Even though Dolby has better performance in 7.1? That it has better compatibility for everyone? That at worst TrueHD sounds exactly the same as Master Audio?

People need an audio education.

What's this talk about better performance nonsense? Lossless is lossless.

DTS has always sounded far superior to me. Sounds way more punchier and crisp. I don't have to turn the sound on my receiver up as high as I do with Dolby. I much prefer DTS and I know a lot of other people who do as well. Each to their own opinion of course.

I like both Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master audio. They are both lossless formats.

Im a weird blu ray fan so im hoping for redone visuals for parts of the original trilogy complete with picture in picture pop up menu mode of the before and after. I'd rather take more special features reveals on may 4th rather than see how they made the movies sound(audio) and look awesome.
