I....can't understand this...
Is this really whats going to be on the Blu's???
Not promising any fixes and not getting any is one thing...But promising and then not fixing? Seriously?

I am cautiously optimistic that these leaks aren't legit...

yes

i again mixed up transfer/master lol

there's always the possibility that these rips are from early check-discs that may have fallen into the "wrong hands" and do not represent the final product

in the case that this rip is from the commercial release, and the discs we buy on Sept. 12/16 still have this colour error, I feel that Lucasfilm should be offering to correct the colour and issue replacement discs. We lived with the error since 2004, hoping the next release would fix it. Lucasfilm states that the issue has been addressed, but does not fix the entire sequence, just a few shots??? Either that or the fans should demand a disc replacement program.

Just irritates the hell outta me

Yeh like what - 0.1% chance of that. Have you ever seen a CHDBits release that isn't the actual Blu-ray? I havent....

LOTR EE was leaked many weeks before release and people wondered the same thing about the green tint back then.... didn't believe it etc.

lucasfilm will just release a peter jackson'ish statement saying its meant to be that way-

in all my years, i've never seen a early test release- i would put $1.95 down that these are the real deal.

Having the light saber changing colors is worse than it just being the wrong color. So now it's going to go from green to blue? Does it switch back and forth between the two? This is absurd.

This is unfreakinbelievable they did not fix this! Especially as others have already pointed out that they specifically mentioned this scene as being fixed! This is unacceptable if it is the real deal which it probably is. Just think, it is really early in the morning right now, wait until tomorrow when everybody is awake and sees this stuff, this forum and other forums are gonna explode!

a change that i would like to see that seems like a no brainer, is lights on vadar's chest plate in ANH- when i saw them on him in ROTS, i wanted to scream knowing that it wouldn't match ANH- fan edits have made this work, seems easier than ewok blinks.

It seems to me that just fixing that one shot is going to make the ones they didn't fix stand out even more, wouldn't ya think?

Yeh it's funny how it's always the massive releases that get screwed up one way or another..

At least we know The Hobbit Part 1 will look AWESOME on Blu-ray - since it's just transferred from the 5K RED code.. none of this dodgy digital intermediate (FOTR EE) or remastering work type of stuff (SW OT) needed

Would be funny if they added EE in that just to toy with us though

It really makes you wonder what has happened in the last seven years. Did nobody at Lucasfilm know about the green lightsaber and other color issues? I can't fathom a group of technical specialists looking at those shots and thinking, "Well, that looks great! Our work is done." These aren't creative decisions...so, why?

If this release is supposed to match Lucas' vision, then Lucas' vision must deteriorating rather rapidly, no doubt from his diabetes.

man, i must say though, pirates stranger tide looks blah on Blu compared to the first 3 films-

the 2nd and 3rd films in particular are amazing- on stranger tides looks like very high quality video but not amazing like the film quality of 2 and 3-

hopefully the hobbit will break from that video feel but peter jackson probably prefers that feel knowing him.

Boy, that uh... that wasn't really a funny comment. That was, that was just unpleasant.

That's because the movie itself looked blahcompared to the first 3. And I dont mean the story (though that was a bit inferior as well). I assumed it was the 3D glasses dimming the picture and sucking the color and life out of the picture, but it sounds like it was the filmed picture after all.
