Im just going to go to BB and pick mine up as a walk-In order. There should be plenty in stock.

last time i ordered a blu-ray player from amazon and it was stolen right off my front porch!

For amazon customers using release date delivery: Amazon does not send 'shipped confirms' until very late the night before release. So, don't expect them to show in your 'in box' until about 9-11 PM tonight. I use release date delivery all the time for video games, and the shipping confirm is always late at night and the game arrives around 3-5 PM the next day. In other words, don't take tomorrow off.

Ive gotten plenty of release day deliveries from Amazon with little to no information on shipping status. If you don't get it just start up a chat and you can usually get a $10 or $15 dollar credit.

All these people having problems with getting it on release day from Amazon is the exact reason why I never order things online when I want them on release day. You have the chance that it won't come to your house on time, and UPS always comes late to my house.

Can't wait to go to Wal-Mart at midnight tonight!!!

Depends on your route. My USP guy arrives anytime between 11 and 1. I'm working tomorrow so it doesn't make a difference to me though...

But my wife will be home

Same. I just walk out the door, go to my store of choice and I have the set within 15 minutes.

That's far more convenient than taking a day off work, sitting in my house all day waiting for a delivery truck that will probably only come while I'm sitting on the toilet or in the shower or something.

You know you have 30 days to return it right, but they will ship your replacement pretty soon after you request it, when you call amazon tell them hey i opened my package and it got damaged by ups and would like a replacement, then hold onto the damaged one to watch till your replacement shows up, i cant imagine you having to wait to long for the replacement to arrive.

Mine shipped yesterday from Amazon via Lasership --- whatever the heck that is. The only update though since yesterday at 2pm EST is "Order Received: In Transit to LaserShip."

I'm sure I'll get it tomorrow, and I'm hoping those of you who pre-ordered with 2-day shipping also do.
