aren't there really like 5 or more people who played Vader - the 3 mentioned, Hayden at the end and then any pickup shots they did for the special edition? I don't remember but I know they pick up a couple shots of Boba Fett so I imagine Vader had a couple too. Plus James Earl Jones!
6 films? Aren't there only 3?

Personally, I think the new films have the potential to be much better than the prequels. But I'm still not holding out too much hope.

Thanks, I knew it was on YouTube, but that looks quite horrible on a 92" screen

Well compressed 480i MPEG2 still looks better than extremely low bitrate net streaming.

You say the DVD doesn't look much better, he poses that it does, and then you say "well sure" which goes against your original statement. Don't be a flip-flopper

I am watching the non-ruined version of Empire on VHS right now. I think it is time to get a new set of tapes.

Or you could just buy the Limited Edition DVD if you want the theatrical version.

For me, STAR WARS refers to the original unaltered trilogy.
Everything else that has Star Wars on the title is a film/cartoon/series that is inspired by Star Wars and I want to forget about it...

If only they had stopped at those 3 films!
The trilogy would be far more legendary!
Now, everything else has ruined/ruins it even more...
In a few years, we will even see a cartoon series: "STAR WARS BABIES", with all the characters as babies!!

[Show spoiler]

I prefer to watch them on VHS. If I am going to have to watch them in awful quality I might as well get nostalgic and watch them the way I did as a kid.

But don't you find it hard to read the scrollng text in the beginning? It used to drve me crazy, having the two ends of the paragraphs cropped out. Not being able to read anything until the 6th line of text, and by then it was so tiny you had to get right on top of the TV to read it.

Between that nonsense with the opening paragraphs and stuff like not being able to see the Tusken Raider Luke was talking about ("wait there's Sand People down there, I can see one of them now"), I always used to cite A New Hope as a perfect example of why widescreen was better than full screen back before people got smart and widescreen (or, really, original aspect ratio) became the norm.

Yeah, the first time I noticed the difference between widescreen and fullscreen was the scene in Yavin where all the X-Wings lift off. Fullscreen will either crop out the sentry guy, or the closest X-Wing (and most of planet Yavin in the process).

All the movies are full of scenes that lose a lot of detail when you crop it. Which is why I was adamant about getting the widescreen VHS for The Phantom Menace back in the day.

VHS came in widescreen versions?

How is it I never knew about this. My childhood was ruined by cropped movies. I didn't know such a beautiful thing existed!

My cousin bought that version. I got mine from Toys R Us and it came with the Hard Clam Shell.
I also made sure that I got WideScreen!
